Additional info & updates

12 May: Going to go to WM. The cost is just so much cheaper, and I honestly have not seen anything to convince me I would get a better education at BC. The people at WM were very welcoming and recruited me hard. BC was nice, but just didn't have the same pull...

5 May: So, BC gave me the money... I just don't know that it is going to be enough. It would cost an extra 36000 or so for BC, and that may just be outside what I am willing to do. It is hard to turn Boston down, and I was positive we would be off to WM, but I really need to make sure on the decision. In addition to the aid, BC gave me an extension on my deposit deadline, so I am going to fly out and see things for myself...

LSAC fee waiver was good for most schools, which is why I applied to so many...

23 Jan: LSAC sent in all my apps the first week of Jan, but then I had new transcripts and another LOR come through, so my complete dates got pushed back. In review at quite a few schools now...

28 Jan: First acceptance! To William and Mary in a big priority mail envelope. Dated from the 22nd. They offered a 10000 dollar renewable scholly, which is really exciting. One of my top choices anyway!!

29 Jan: In at George Mason! The admissions office called and left me a message to let me know. She said a packet would be sent to me tomorrow. Yay again!!

2 Feb: Wake Forest sent an email with a status checker link, which informs me that "Decision Letter is Pending." I am assuming an admit, since waitlisted people were informed on the status checker...

5 Feb: Phone call today from MSU admissions. They offered admission with the Dean Kings scholarship- full tuition and inclusion into their honors program. I didn't think my GPA was high enough for that, so it is exciting that they are willing to take a chance on me. :)

9 Feb: Status Checker for Wake changed to "Congratulations!" Letter sent out today. (Received on 14 Feb)

10 Feb: Decision made on U of Washington status checker. Letter mailed today.

13 Feb: Formal letter from MSU, but none of the other letters I have been expecting. Got an email from BYU asking me to come in and meet with the Dean next week. Exciting!

17 Feb: Met with the BYU Dean of admissions this morning. Asked a few questions about why I wanted to attend, then offered me a spot in the class. It was actually a good little interview, he is a nice guy and it was fun to get an offer in person.
Rejection from Washington and an acceptance from UConn in the mail today. I guess 2-1 in one day is not so bad....
Also, a rejection email from the University of Virginia late this evening. Not unexpected, and it helps narrow down the choices anyway. Now 2-2 in one day...

21 Feb: Big white envelope from Lewis and Clark- in, but no scholarship money to give me. They said they would redistribute in April.... but I am pretty sure that will be too late for me to keep them in the running.
Decision according to the UMich status checker. Won't let me on the admitted student's site, so I am guessing a rejection. Again, not a surprise on this one....

23 Feb: Snail mail rejections from UMich and GWU. GW was a bit disappointing, I was hoping at least for a wait list. I am really leaning to William and Mary, so pretty much just waiting to hear what the Boston schools have to say.

6 March: Email acceptance yesterday from Qpac; now an email today from WF saying scholarships are all out but they may send more in April. So, I have some withdrawing to do...

7 March: Waitlist letter from Washington and Lee, plus a personalized official acceptance letter from BYU- very nice touch.

19 March: Busy the last little while with events for BYU and WM. Got a waitlist letter from Utah today- I think they know they are not high on the list. :) Going to withdraw...

10 April: Wow, about the only thing that could make my decision more difficult... an acceptance at BC! I have been pretty set on WM because of their scholarship offer and the good atmosphere I felt out there. But I have dreamed of going to BC for a long time.... I need to get their financial aid people to let me know if they can throw any money my way; that's probably the only way I could do it!

Congrats on all of your acceptances! I wish I was in your boat! Do you plan on remaining on the WL at Utah?
