Additional info & updates

I applied to a few reach schools just for the heck of it. Any school that offered an optional statement, I wrote it and I think I had really strong PS but I'm sure everyone thinks that too so who knows :/

December 5th: Received a think envelope from Miami. First acceptance yay! At least I'm going to law school somewhere!

December 21st: I recieved an email from FSU saying "Welcome to FSU" but I didn't get a letter or anything so I called the office and they said I got in, which I was surprised that they told me over the phone but woohoo anyway! I guess they sent the letter to my permanent address.

January 10th: Small white envelope from George Mason. First rejection. Not that I would have gone there, but it still sucks.

January 15th: Small white envelope from American. Second Rejection. This one hurts.

January 28th: Whole bunch of emails from Pitt Law congratulating me on my acceptance. Mom calls and says she got the letter at home. My Dad is an alum at Pitt Law so I knew I was in, but it is still exciting (even though I doubt I'll go)

Feb. 5th: Small envelope from GWU. They are unable to offer me admission. Funny how all three of my rejections are in the Washington DC area. Guess they dont want to see my smiling face there for the next three years. Their loss!

March 10th: Email from Wake Forest. Waitlisted. I'm actually happy about it because they are a great school and from the looks of how everything else is going, I thought for sure I'd just get a straight up rejection from them. So yay I guess....

March 21st: Waitlisted at William and Mary which I'm very happy about that they are even considering me.

March 22: Thick envelope from UF. Thought it was an acceptance, turned out to be waitlisted and I'm SUPER pissed. Seriously...my numbers were dead on their median numbers last year and they WAITLIST me? I did everything to get into freaking UF and they waitlist me. So *$#& them, I'm going to FSU. I hope they get screwed with their incoming class since they accepted people with such high numbers this year and I hope everyone they accepted goes to another school and they have a class of like 80. and I will laugh laugh laugh. Bitter? yes. They did the same thing to my uncle who was perfect for UF Law...was an undergrad at UF and kissed ass to get in and they screwed him and now they did the same thing to me. I'm over them. They are sooooooooooooo obsessed with effing "diversity" and their whole admission staff are minorities and thats who they are catering to. REVERSE DISCRIMINATION is what it is. OK I'm done rambling....

We are close in numbers and applied to a ton of the same schools. I didn't get into UF, but I sure hope you do! Good luck with your cycle! I added you to my WL.

I go there and just got waitllisted too!!! Forget them, my numbers are at/above their median too. It was not my first choice at all, more like a safety, but I know they only waitlisted me cause i wrote a very conservative personal statement and they are all about "diversity"

is better than UF anyways. UF is known for its tax program, and cooking the books... So congrats on FSU, are you gonna attend?
