Single mom, worked full time during my undergrad and graduate studies. My undergrad GPA is no indication of my commitment to success or academic abilities. Grad school GPA was much better!

12/08/09: So my status finally says decision rendered on the NCCU status checker today. I was excited but am now really nervous. I am praying that I get in. It is really the only school that I want to go to and that will work for my personal situation. Hopefully that little white envelope will bring good news! Matter of fact, I'm going to claim it right now- that envelope will bring positive news!

11/20/09: So tired of the waiting game!! I am definitely re-taking the LSAT in February. I feel that would increase my already limited options. I need to go to school in NC. I have a teenage son and we would have to sell our house and stay with family in order for me to attend law school. I feel that a higher LSAT score will allow me to apply to other schools such as Campbell or UNC. I would even be more than satisfied with a conditional acceptance from NCCU's PBAP program!

11/11/09: Received application decision from Charlotte School of Law indicating that I was not accepted. Not really too heartbroken as NCCU is my first choice. Keeping fingers crossed that I get in even if through their PBAP program.

10/27/09: Anxiously awaiting decisions. NCCU is my first choice and turn around time for decision is 4-6 weeks! Contemplating taking the LSAT again.

I have not heard from NCCU or Charlotte as of today, hopefully soon the waiting is hard; patience is not one of my better attributes. Good luck !!

Hi Geminitruth, Like you, I was given a web page by NCCU to my application status. My application status has been changed from in review to "decision rendered." I am anticipating on receiving correspondence that could give me more information. I will keep you updated.

Aw, thanks AD! Moms are very special. Dads too. Any parent that has to deal with teenage hormones deserves an award lol. I pray that we both get in. If we can just get our foot in the door we can show them how well we'll perform!

Our numbers are similar and our statuses changed to decision rendered on the same day. The anticipation is killing me and I am sure you can relate! I was wondering if anything had changed under the "fees" section of the online status checker?

OMG!! I didn't even look there often but I wanna say seat deposit wasn't there. It still says 0.00 amount due 0.00 paid however. What does yours say? Was seat deposit there for you before? It is driving me batty! I will say a prayer for both of and keep fingers and toes crossed!

Good luck!!!

Hi we have similiar numbers and I just wanted to say good luck with this cycle...

No more LSAT!!
Wednesday, December 09 2009 at 07:00 PM

Honestly I don't think that I am going to take them again...I am placing my hope and faith in the strength of my letters of recommendation and history...If I am not blessed to gain admittance this cycle I will take the LSATs again..

NCCC...just wondering
Wednesday, December 09 2009 at 07:00 PM

Have you received a letter from NCCC yet?...I checked the my status checker and it says that a decision was rendered on the same exact date....I think that the wait was the worse part of the application process

NCCC driving me nuts!!!
Wednesday, December 09 2009 at 07:00 PM

They have me checking my mailbox like I have OCD...They should not update the status checker until the letters have been sent...but did any information in the seat deposit space change...mine still says 0.00 due 0.00 paid

More NCCU Waiting
Sunday, November 15 2009 at 07:00 PM

Has your status checker changed again? Last week it said "Decision Rendered" dated 12/8/09. Now it is back to saying "application complete". No mail and still waiting for clarification on the financial aid e-mail I received on Friday. Oh well..there is always tomorrow.

Going Crazy!!!
Wednesday, December 09 2009 at 07:00 PM

I hate the mail...I am goin to tackle the next postal worker that I see...

No need to check my mail for now
Sunday, November 15 2009 at 07:00 PM

I got an update from NCCU Law. Since I applied to both programs, I will have to wait until a decision is rendered on both programs before a letter is mailed. Decision was reached for Day program. But my file is still under review for the PT program, which is the reason my file went back to apllication complete on status checker. Oh well life goes on :-)

Sorry to Hear about NCCC...
Wednesday, December 09 2009 at 07:00 PM

Sorry to read that you didn't get it...their loss...Good luck on the rest of your cycle...

Good luck
Sunday, November 15 2009 at 07:00 PM

Sorry things did not work out at NCCU this cycle. If you retake the LSAT in February, as you mentioned, try to take a PREP course. I think it will prove to be helpful. Good luck on the Feb LSAT and the rest of this cycle. Be Blessed!

Keep at it!
