Extra Curricular Information

Since my numbers aren't stellar, I decided to cast a very wide net this cycle. I enjoy several different places and climates throughout the country, so I did not let geographic location play a critical deciding factor regarding where I would apply.

I do not feel that you can overstate the importance of dedicating time to write a compelling personal statement. Utilizing my writing skills, and a few years of increasingly demanding responsibilities in my career, I believe that I was able to successfully distance myself from my dismal undergraduate performance.

I figured that I'd start to update this.

First ding at Wayne State was a pretty crummy, and there are likely more to follow, but I'm being optimistic. Toledo is the definite favorite thus far, and my seat deposit will be getting sent this week.

In at SIU via phone call. Their scholarship allocation is tiered based on LSAT performance. A 161 will get you full tuition. Carbondale is a fun little town, and you can qualify for in-state tuition after only 6 months in IL, but that first semester tuition would be brutal without more $$ thrown my way.

Rejected at Mercer via email/status checker. I figured it could go either way here. While I enjoy Georgia, it would have taken considerable $$ for me to seriously consider attending.

Hi there, I myself fall into your realm of low GPA and LSAT. My first degree was in Engineering(BEE)GPA 2.58 and my second which was ABA in Economics GPA 3.2, did not pan out to well when it comes to LSDAS GPA. Which leads to the question, DO you have any pointers for a follow black man trying to achieve your level of achievement? Thanks Quintin
