Pretty suprised about Loyola but I didn't write any of the optional essays. The school seems to view GPA more strongly and doesn't seem to react too kindly to splitters.

I just got waitlisted at Columbia. I am in total and complete shock. I am so completely grateful. There are no words. Thank you Columbia. I have no idea what I should do now, but if it includes complete and utter elation and cantering to and fro Chicago, greeting every person, place, or thing I see with a happy "Hellllllo, ! then I'm on the right track.

George Washington increased their merit award by 50%

You're in great shape for those top schools. Columbia, Cornell, and Texas would be really nice!

GWU

Yeah, had I known how splitter-friendly they would be this year, I'd have applied. However, I'm done with apps...I just can't justify throwing around more money this late in the cycle. Congrats on your acceptances!
