Additional info & updates

12/15/09 - Not admitted via binding ED at UA and moved to regular application pool. (Notifiied via status checker and snail mail). The news makes me a little sad. I know it's not a rejection; but if they don't want me ED, they probably won't want me period. The news does mean more options.

1/14/10 - Waitlisted at University of Minnesota (via email). I was shocked that I they didn't flat out reject me with my numbers . . . So, quasi-good news.

11/15/10 - Accepted at University of Illinois (via email) with a scholarship! I'm so EXCITED to be accepted to my first law school! I was wating for a rejection/waitlist; so, defintely pleasantly suprised!

12/25/10 - Rejected at University of Wisconsin (via email). The first rejection kind of stings, but it was to be expected!

...still waiting to hear back from San Diego and the Arizona schools.

2/1/10 - Moved to regular applicant pool by ASU. (Notified via email). This is the first peep I've even heard from ASU; so, I guess it's good to know they GOT my application. I'm still hopeful, but not delusional. I would really just like some closure from schools!

4/9/10 - Waitlisted at USD. Notified via email at 8pm (which was odd).

4/19/10 - Withdrew from USD. Even if I got off the WL, doesn't make sense to go to a Teir 2 school for more money than UIL. Hopefully, that helps (even a little) to free up the waitlist.

...Wish ASU would hurry themselves up. I guess EA means nothing to them. I just want some closure. Oh, and while I'm wishing, I wish U of A would admit me. ;)

4/23/10 - Email from ASU saying they're still reviewing applications. I applied in October. Reeeally, ASU? Really? They said they should have decisions out in "the next 2 weeks"--meaning AFTER my UIL seat deposit is due. SUPER.

4/30/10 - In at Arizona State via snail mail. Sent a big package to my parent's house.

I can't believe my cycle is OVER! There wasn't much ryhme or reason to the outcome; but overall, it was successful--all things considered! I'm happy with my choices and am hoping for the best with my waitlists.

Hi there, I was wondering if USD sent you a letter to notify you of your waitlist and if they did, did your status check change to "decision rendered" at the same time? Thanks! (and good luck with the rest of the cycle)

I meant - did they send you a letter in addition to the email they sent you (which is weird like you said b/c they say in their email that they only notify via U.S. mail...)? Thx!

Hi! I'm now in the same boat you were in with ASU, except I have not heard back. congratulations on your acceptance! I applied in Jan, and sounds like I got the same email about still reviewing applications on 4/23/10. Did they email you as well as send snail mail when you got your acceptance? phone call from them? thanks! p.s. I too was waitlisted at USD and UA. I'm a 158/3.66 and have a MPA.
