3-20-08 Letter postmarked 3-18 from UVA. They messed up and accepted me. I am speechless and blown away. (In-state FWIW)

CYCLE OVER!!!!!!!! Last decision, see you in C'Ville as far as I can tell.

3-18-08- Duke did not listen and put me on the WL. Lucky #7, ugh...

3-17-08 Apparently I went decision at Duke on the 14th. I'm expecting a ding considering I basically told the Dean earlier in the week that I needed to make a decision soon, i.e. take your WL and shove it, accept or reject. Which is true.

2-29-08 WL'd at Michigan via very nice email from Dean Z. Expected, but still sucks...

2-20-08 A little lull is broken with a likely Yield-Protect WL from Fordham. Meh....

2-13-08- Rejected from Northwestern via email. So it goes. Chicago is too cold anyway...

2-4-08- Of course I say it and get WL'd at UCLA. Another fee waiver for naught. 90% sure I won't pursue this one...

2-4-08- Despair setting in as i get the feeling I won't hear anything from the schools I really want to go to until a wave of WLs at the beginning of March.......

1-28-08 WL received from Vandy. 12 bucks down the drain, boo-hoo....

1-23-08 Busy day. Email from WUSTL with full tuition scholarship, enaother email saying it was sent in error, and finally a 3rd email offering 90k.

1-23-08 Status checker to changed to decision mailed at Vandy. I'm assuming at least another WL, but an acceptance would certainly be welcome today.

1-23-08 WL'd at Penn via email. Kind of sucks, but not unexpected. Have a month to pursue it by letting them know and submitting additional materials.

1-22-08- Withdrew applications to American and Wash. & Lee

1-18-08 Rejected at BC. Enjoy the $75 jerkoffs! I only applied because my GF is from Boston, mwahahahaha. Glad this is my 1st rejection since I really could care less given the GW news.

1-18-07 IN AT GW!! This was a big deal for me since GW was my 1st choice of target schools (outside T-14). I feel much better about the whole cycle now since I can, and most likely will, deposit at GW and wait on GULC.

1-9-07 In at Cardozo with 25k/year. Acceptance was a given, but the money is surprising! Acceptance via phonecall.

1-4-08- Phone call with GULC regarding WL. I think it was positive and my interest was noted.

1-3-08 Preferred Waitlist. Not great news, but I'm fairly optimistic I can turn this into an admit in due time. All in all given my numbers, this is a battle victory in this war and I'm halfway to good news with GULC I think.

1-2-08 Went to decision on GULC status checker. I applied PT as well so while I'm not optimistic about my chances at FT, I'm thinking I'm either PT accept or FT waitlist. I'm thinking I'd rather have the PT acceptance in hand, but we'll see.

12-19-07 Phone call from Mason. I'm in and awaitng an acceptance package next week. Nice news!

12-13-07 COMPLETE EVERYWHERE!!!!
except W&L and BU, but Dean's Certs are in the mail and I'm not too concerned. Now, I wait........

12-12-07- Email from Michigan notifying me I'm comnplete. Emails to BC and GW were replied to notifying me that I am complete. Just waiting on Penn. BU and W&L have told me all they need is Dean's Cert.

12-08-07: Priority Mail envelope from W&M. Scholarship for 6k/year. Good to know I can go somewhere close to home!

12-5-07: Returned form lunch to an email from WUSTL. I'm going to law school!! Kind of surprised considering I've only been complete for a week, but what great news.

I'm from New York originally so I'd likely go back there before heading to Durham. Although in all likelihood I won't even apply to Cardozo since I'd like to stay in DC?VA area where I currently live. And the list is long because it's more my schools of interest now than where I'll apply. I don't exactly see myself applying to Temple, Miami, etc.

just wanted to say congrats on uva... i have almost identical numbers and was also an english major, but am in the next cycle, so your acceptance to a t14 gives me hope.. good luck with the waitlists

absolutely identical. i was 3.13/170, english, top private, as well (thou we dont do hoop). you got UVA, I got UM. not a bad split, though I really liked UVA. best of luck with the JD and all.
