Additional info & updates

**Update** After some soul searching I decided that 60 hour work weeks are not for me and I just can't afford to go to law school unless I'm 100% sure that I want to be a lawyer. But it's nice to know the option is there--maybe I'll be back next year.

Thanks for the good wishes. Good luck to you as well. 我申请W&M和W&L不仅因为fee waiver,还因为in-statee tuition和得奖学金的机会大一些。 你在DC吗?

Thanks

I work in DC but I'm a MD resident, unfortunately there's only one good law school in MD. 那么,我也希望得奖学金!

Yea I will be applying next fall, because I am graduating in the winter '07. I will be cheering you though...and hope your get into "THE" school...you know...THE NW.

oh yes

Yeah, warm weather is super important because I have lived in Ohio all of my life and I have had enough of it. I would consider hastings but I don't like the super competitive rep it has, I doubt I would like having that all of the time

btw

Oh, and btw looks like we are both screwed for xtra curriculars, how do you plan on making up for that on the essays and so forth? Just curious since I am in the same boat

extracurriculars
Thursday, July 13 2006 at 08:00 PM

My hope is that since most law school applicants loaded up on extracurrics in college, the fact that I worked 20-30 hrs/week instead of joining stuff makes me more diverse. ;) Obviously being head of a campus organization makes an applicant look really good, but holding a supervisory position at work should say just as much about a person's leadership skills. Also, somewhere in my essays I'm going to address the reasons I had to work through school. Hopefully that stuff will distract ad comms from the lack of extracurriculars.
