03/20/13-Just checked my online application status for St. Thomas (Miami Gardens)...Accepted. More info to follow...

Also decided not to apply to Vandy...I just don't see the point.

03/22/13-In at Florida Coastal SL. Waiting to get my emails/letters from St. Thomas and FCSL about possible scholarships.

Received my acceptance letter from FCLS...offered a $30,000 annual scholarship, so long as I maintain a 2.7 GPA.

03/25/2013-Received a letter from St. Thomas (Miami Gardens). They are offering me a $30,000 annual scholarship, renewable so long as I maintain a 2.8 GPA. They also offered me a $5,000 scholarship to help with transition costs. Solid offer.

Also got an update on my UF application status: They have made a decision and sent the letter, but did not say whether I was in or not.

03/26/2013-Recieved a email from Ave Maria today...they offered me a full annual scholarship so long as I maintain a 3.0 GPA. Also, they offered my a $6,000 scholarship to help cover transition costs. The conditional GPA is a little higher than I would like it to be, but still a good offer.

Also received a call from FIU...The offered me a full ride, on the condition that I maintain a 2.9 GPA.

I am really very happy with my cycle so far...when it is all said and done, I will have a lot of good opportunities to choose from.

03/27/2013-Was waitlisted at William and Mary. A little disappointed, but I'm still waiting to hear from a lot of other schools, and I already have some great offers on the table...I really wanted to stay in Florida anyway.

Got a call from FSU @ 4:30...I'm in. I don't think they'll offer any scholarships, but regardless, I am very happy to be in at FSU.

03/29/2013-I just called Miami because I got a email that the admissions council was missing one of my LOR's. They informed me that I had already been accepted, and that they should expect that last LOR by early next week. No mention of scholarship at this point.

03/30/2013-I checked my outstanding applications online and the only update is Nova (my application is under review). Hopefully I hear something soon.

I am also still waiting on my letter from UF. Maybe today...

UPDATE: In at UF! Wow...I actually did not think I would get in there. Ironically, my acceptance at UF makes my final decision a lot harder. Do I ay the $60,000 in tuition over the next three years at UF or FSU, or do I settle for a lower ranked school and a full scholarship? Decisions, decision...

04/02/2013-Finally got a email from Stetson...accepted with a $25,000 annual scholarship and a conditional GPA of 2.25. Very good offer, particularly in light of the fact that I have lived in the Tampa bay region my entire life, and plan on staying here. Not having to uproot my family is certainly another factor I'll take into consideration.

Although I have not heard back from all the schools I applied to, I will likely make a decision soon, or at least start narrowing it down. Four of the the schools who offered me scholarships have required acceptance dates of 04.15.2013, and there are some others I applied to as safety schools, which at this point I can withdraw from as well.

04/04/2013-I withdrew from Ave Maria, St. Thomas (Miami Gardens) and UM today. These I know I will not be attending for various reasons, but it is always hard to say 'no' to a full ride or a T1/T2 school. Ah well...

04/05/2013-Just heard from Nova Southeastern today...Accepted with a $22,000 scholarship.

I was also informed that Cooley has made decision.

Finally, I withdrew my application from Florida Coastal SL today.

I will be attending a admitted students day at Stetson law tomorrow. As of right now, I am leaning towards Stetson as my final decision, although I am looking into visiting UF,FSU, and FIU.

Update: Just checked my online application status at Barry...Accepted. I should receive the acceptance package in the mail over the next few days. No mention of scholarship yet.

04/06/2013-Rejected at UGA. No worries...

I visited the Stetson Law Campus today, and I must admit I was really impressed. Honestly, my visit there all but solidified my decision to commit to Stetson (there were a number of other personal and financial factors that pushed me towards Stetson as well).

My cycle is nearly complete...I have yet to hear from GSU, and I am still waiting to hear from Barry about scholarships and Cooley about acceptance and scholarships, but the latter two are currently on the way. Although I have not recieved my package from these three schools yet, I will in all likelyhood commit to Stetson Monday.

It's a little bitter sweet that my cycle is over...the last two months have been a whirlwind of amazing offers and great news. I can honestly say that I have almost no regrets about my cycle...it turned out better than I imagined. Standby for my final signoff Monday!

04/08/2013-I have made my final decision: I will a attending Stetson Law in the Fall of 2013!

I have already withdrawn from most of the schools I applied and was accepted to, with a few I have either yet to hear from, or have yet to receive official notice from. As soon as I do, I will be informing them of my decision.

I hope the information I contributed to this website helps others as much as it has helped me over the last three years!

Good luck to all current and future Law students!

C.M.I. signing off

Update: Cooley offered me a 60% tuition scholarship with no conditional gpa, and Barry offered me a $22,000 scholarship with a 2.8 conditional gpa.
