Additional info & updates

cycle is FINALLY over... feel free to pm with any questions.

11/6 - under review at harvard...eek.

11/24 - finally, my first decision: georgetown. hopefully will get the letter by the weekend...

12/2 - was NOT expecting to hear from berkeley so soon... very exciting!

12/14 - fordham acceptance makes me 5-for-5 so far, which feels nice... but still no news out of HYSC. Yale, why haven't you admitted me even though I haven't applied yet?!

12/23 - well, at this point i'm completely thrilled with my cycle and my focus has shifted to scholarships [and things in my life other than law school, since this will be the last time i can do that for a while!]. i'm trying to forget that i still have pending applications at the top 4 schools since i'm not expecting to get in anyway...

1/19 - held by harvard. keeping the rejections at bay thus far...

3/17 - and then there were five (plus three still pending)... got placed on scholarship "hold" at georgetown, not a battle worth fighting, so i withdrew. with several scholarship deadlines approaching, it looks like i'm down to a last few weeks of decision making (and hoping for a decision from those pending friends...)

4/28 - going to columbia! very excited.

For the most part, CLS and NYU were the same to me. There were a few things that made me prefer CLS, though. First, if I ever decide to work in California or decide to do something besides law (hopefully not!), CLS would probably benefit me more than NYU would. More important, I liked the area around CLS more- I prefer quieter places, so I felt more comfortable around Columbia and Morningside Heights.
