Additional info & updates

I applied online. I didn't even know Charlotte was opening a law school until a few months ago!!

I have good LORs

3/3/06--Sent application online
3/6/06--Charlotte requested LSAC report
3/7/06--Charlotte received report
3/7/06--Charlotte sent letter confirming receipt and stating that they ordered my report
3/9/06--Sent them an e-mail confirming receipt of my LOR and sent my resume
3/22/06--I sent a follow-up e-mail to my 3/9/06 e-mail, as I never heard a response.
3/23/06--FINALLY. I received an e-mail stating that my file was complete as of 3/10/06 and that it will be going to the Admission Committee very soon (whatever that means). Also, that it takes 4-6 weeks from that time until a decision is made. That's a LONG time. I might not know until May!

3/30/06 I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE LETTER IN THE MAIL TODAY!!! Business size envelope, one page congratulating me on my acceptance into the part-time evening program. I spoke with admissions earlier in the week. They will look to offer $$ to part-time students after they offer $$ to full-time students.

4/18/06--I paid my seat deposit

Hi, So what do you know about Charlotte Law School?

Thanks

With your numbers you should be fine. This is their very first class and accepting anyone with my LSAT score is not what they need at this point. To gain accreditation they need to ensure that at least the first class will do well in school as well on the bar exam. I have no doubt that I could do both, however I understand their situation. Thanks again and best wishes.
