No Harvard/Yale?

With numbers like yours, I'm really suprised you aren't applying to Harvard and Yale. Was this some kind of personal decision concerning the schools?

Yes, it was a personal decision. I decided I had no interest in living in either Boston or New Haven. I also didn't think attending the schools I am applying to rather than Harvard or Yale would hurt my career aspirations.

Well

if you get into harvard you can use that as leverage to negotiate more money from other schools =)

Good luck

How'd they notify you that you were complete? Email, snail mail, did you have to call them?

Columbia notified me by email.

Congrats! :) As a random note, one of my favorite words is "sundry." Random, too.

sorry about Stanford, man. When was your letter postmarked? I'm bracing for my own small white letter.

Re: Stanford

Letter was dated the 17th. I'm not too suprised they dinged me. Other than my LSAT, all I bring to the table is life as an average white guy from a forgettable undergrad. Career aspirations: IP, probably not patent, though.

Wow you were deferred from Columbia?! That doesn't make me feel so bad now. It doesn't seem like us techie types are getting any love from Columbia.
