Update 6/19/12:

The free visit to Cal Western won me over.

However, I was just accepted off the waitlist at Pacific McGeorge, so now I'm slightly torn. Wish I'd had a chance to visit the campus. But San Diego is still more appealing to me than Sacramento, so I'm pretty sure I won't be changing my mind. Especially since a decision is needed in 2 days.

-------------------------------------------------
Cal Western also offered to cover airfare/hotel accommodations for me to attend a scholarship recipient campus visit next month. Pumped for that.

I'm a little upset that Northeastern waitlisted me, since I am a current undergrad there with a pretty good gpa and an lsat score that's definitely within their range (even if it's at the lower end..)

I'm not expecting good news from UCLA or USD, but a girl can dream, right?

At the moment, I'm leaning towards Cal Western, mostly because Southwestern didn't offer any scholarship money.

Otherwise, I'm just torn between my lifelong dream of moving to SoCal and staying in Boston with my friends, family, and boyfriend of 6 years. Decisions, decisions!!

eh. i appreciate your opinion, but i disagree. i am from boston and suffolk gave me money, therefore i shouldn't withdraw? That is the worst logic I've ever seen. I went to undergrad in Boston, and now I'm ready for a change. I have always known I wanted to end up in San Diego, and my job prospects are better if I attend a school in the city where I want to live. Cal Western actually has a great reputation within SD. And they gave me more money than any other school I applied to. I recognize the high chances of losing that scholarship, but I'm actually quite confident in myself and my ability to stay at the top of my class. Call me cocky, but going into law school without that kind of confidence is not going to help anyone. I also probably should have mentioned that unlike probably 99% of people on here (likely including yourself), i am not even remotely interested in "big law" or "big money" . yes, i want to be able to pay off my loans, but the career path i'm aiming for isn't going to involve much money regardless of where i go. i only applied to schools in Boston as a last resort, in case I chickened out of moving across the country.
