Additional info & updates

A little about me, I am a Process Safety Engineer in Houston. I am interested in Law School, quite frankly, because it is what I do and I really love what I do. As a safety engineer it is my responsibility to maintain adequate knowledge and more importantly understanding of the laws and regulations, and to apply them correctly. I feel if you enjoy what you do, you should always expand your abilities to perform even better. I have always been told I have the qualities one would expect to follow law or politics... I enjoy talking (and I have absolutely no issues with doing so in public); I like to see things from both sides and typically can argue either side relatively well; I tend to be able to see the areas where a rule can be stretched, without violation; and I usually can find something positive to focus on in just about anybody.

My GPA doesn't really reflect who I am or my abilities. I was an atypical student having gone back to college a little bit later in life (27) and having already been married with three young children and no savings to pull from. So part of my schooling was to uproot the family and move to Gainesville, maintain a full time job, and be a full time engineering student, while trying to complete that process in the shortest duration possible (16-18 credits per semester, that part kind of backfired). Notice maintain a high GPA was not on that list, I just wanted to finish so I could more easily support my family. This time around, time is not much of a factor, and my children are all capable of handling themselves much more effectively.

So, That is me. I am taking my P.E. Exam in October, and planning on taking the LSAT in February 2015 (the 160 on there is solely there because it would not let me create a profile without some number and 160 seemed to be a good number to just throw in there)). Will keep this location updated each step of the way.
