Rejected at Vandy and Accepted at Notre Dame. I'm pretty happy with this outcome and will attend Notre Dame in August. Time to start withdrawing from other schools!
----
81k from Emory. Come on, Notre Dame and Vandy!!
----
So, in at Emory, Georgia, and Illinois. Really tossing up between Emory and Illinois, if I don't get accepted to Notre Dame or Vanderbilt.
I was all excited and then I saw that my personal statement has a huuuuuge error in it. If only I hadn't checked, but the last sentence said "once of them" instead of "one of them" and I'm highly embarrassed and dreading the dings that I pray aren't to come.
I'm very happy with Emory. Haven't received anything other than my "summons to appear" (my mom appreciated the law joke, Ems - her very words were "they wouldn't summon you to appear if you weren't accepted, right?!") but I'm hoping a scholarship offer is to come. Their acceptance packet motivated me to get my ass in gear, finish and file my taxes, and finish my FAFSA.
Come on Notre Dame, I want you so badly! Vanderbilt, you too, I'm dying for you, but when your name comes up I feel like a bespectacled, pimpled dweeb asking Natalie Portman to the prom. So I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but they're up. I want you two! And I want you to give me lots of money! Emory, are you listening? LOTS OF MONEY!!!
