Additional info & updates

Note: Scholarship offers are per year/ renewable for all three years.

12/20 In at Michigan today. Only went complete a couple of weeks ago. This just got really real.

01/02 In at George Washington via email. I was once almost sure that this would be the best I could do, but since that Michigan acceptance...

01/04 Rejected by Georgetown. Since I'm in at Michigan, it doesn't sting much. They rejected me within two weeks of when I went complete. Must have really hated my application.

01/12 Waitlisted by Notre Dame. Will withdraw myself from consideration. Also decided today to stop hiding my Yale application.

01/28 Damn, these decisions are taking forever. Deferred (held) today at Illinois.

02/02 Accepted at Pitt today. That breaks a long dry streak.

02/04 UCLA waitlist. I love that school but I will probably decline a spot on the waitlist.

02/06 Another day, another waitlist. Penn by email today. Not sure yet if I'll pursue it.

02/09 Dean's Scholarship offer from Pitt. I really like them.

02/14 Rejected cold by Columbia. It was a hell of a longshot but it still stung a bit.

02/15 Dinged by Harvard, the big one. I pretty much expected this of course, but it would have been nice of them to do me the courtesy of an actual letter rather than a rather curt email. Whatever, who needs the Michigan of the east anyway?

02/19 Dinged by Stanford and Chicago. Darn it.

02/23 Rejected by Berkeley. They sent the sweetest rejection letter ever, basically making it seem like it was some unfair fallacy of the system that kept me from being admitted. And they invited me to apply as a transfer next year. I don't think I will, but it's nice nonetheless.

02/25 Rejected by NYU, exactly one month after I went complete. Wasn't really interested in that one anyway, so no problem.

02/26 At some point in the past week I withdrew from Pitt. Can't remember the exact day, and honestly I cannot even remember mailing the letter. I know I signed it, I can envision the envelope, so yeah, I must have mailed it.

Pardon me, I'm generally not quite this clueless.

03/03 After a brutal February, March is starting off poorly too. I got waitlisted by Vanderbilt today and it hurt a bit because I really like that school. Oh well, I'm withdrawing and sticking with Michigan.

03/10 Very sweet deferral letter from Washington & Lee. Crossing my fingers...

03/12 The Illinois deferral turned into a waitlist today. Boooo.

03/13 Rejected by Yale. What a wicked Thursday the 13th.

03/14 Rejected via email by Northwestern. Gross.

On the other hand, I did preview weekend at Michigan this week, and pretty much loved it entirely. So totally excited about going there...

03/18 Waitlisted by Duke. :(

03/29 Deferred by Cornell.

04/03 Out of state waitlist from Virginia.

04/04 Waitlisted by Wash U.

04/15 Still waiting on a few apps, but I sent in my deposit to Michigan and I'm pretty set on going there. Pretty excited about how things turned out.

Can you tell me more about yourself? Getting into UMich with your LSAT is amazing, I just wanna know what you did. I included my e-mail, incase you are uncomfortable discussing that on LSN.

I believe I officially went complete at Michigan on Dec. 7.

Don't take it personally - I'm sure it was your LSAT; they care a ridiculous amount about LSATs, for whatever reason. Glad you've got Mich and could care less, tho! :)

Yeah, that LSAT is kind of low for a T14. Oh well, I'm not whining.

Yeah--once I got into Michigan, everything else sort of lost importance. When I got my holds I just sent of a withdrawal letter and went back to watching for other interesting stuff.
