I was a bit surprised too, but I guess I would have to attribute it to the glut of applications this cycle due to the economy. I plan to just do really well at GWU this year and perhaps transfer after the first year if I feel the school will be a better fit. We will see. My advice for a future applicant it to apply early. I think that if I had gotten my application off in October, instead of late December, my chances would have been way better. Good luck!
