Additional info & updates

Scholarship info is per year, not total.

1/22/10- accepted to W&M via Priority Mail envelope. Have received subsequent follow-up emails from the dean and an alumna.

2/4/10- recieved phone call from admissions officer at GMU congratulating me on my acceptance. I think they called due to the possible blizzard we're expecting that may disrupt the mail.

2/4/10- accepted to San Diego via large mailed envelope. Doesn't look like they gave me any money, so they're a no.

2/11/10- Waitlisted at Minnesota. May or may not submit a LOCI.

2/12/10- Got into Iowa via email.

2/16/10- Recieved large envelope from L&C admitting me! Unfortunately, they "ran out of all their scholarship money" so doesn't look I can choose L&C over W&M.

2/18/10- Received waitlist email from U of Illinois.

3/9/10- Rejected from GW, my first rejection. Oh well, I didn't want to spend 40k on law school anyways.

3/10/10- Waitlisted at BU.

3/16/10- Accepted into Tulane via email.

3/27/10- Waitlisted at UVa. Very generous on their part, considering I'm way below their averages. Probably helped that I'm an alumna.

hey, I noticed that we have similar numbers and are applying to some of the same places. What's your top choice?

I don't really have a top choice since all the schools have positives and negatives. I have a feeling I'll end up at W&M since it's such a good value for the money, but I really wish Lewis &Clark was just a bit higher in the rankings. Plus, I heard they already gave out all their scholarship money.

yeah, I wish I had sent in my Lewis & Clark application sooner too. :( anyway, good luck with everything!

Hi, I think you and I are in the same boat - trying to decide between BC (slightly more expensive but better in env law) and WM (cheaper and great ASW). I'm still completely up in the air and would be happy to share notes if you are still undecided. I also have an email from Prof. Butler at WM about their env. law program which might help a little. Cheers, Dan
