Additional info & updates

I want to attend a law school with a sports law program, clinic, or some sort of emphasis in sports. I will settle for a school with a good IP program and a sports law class with externships in sports.

Marquette is my #1 school.

3/5/13 admitted to Valpo via voicemail- Valpo isn't a great school but they are in the midwest (close to family and friends) and they have a sports law clinic. Cost of living will be cheap there too.

3/6/13- admitted via email to TJLS- Although Thomas Jefferson has many sports law classes and a Center for Sports Law and Policy that awards a specialization certificate... the school is ranked as one of THE WORST law schools in the country. Its VERY expensive too. I have yet to receive my official letter of acceptance but I've gotten the "you've been admitted" email. I love San Diego... but I would go to Valparaiso over TJSL.

3/8/13- Good News. $18,000 from TJSL if I stay in the top 25%. They also awarded me entry into the Sports Law and Policy Fellowship Program.

Well I only got these acceptances in the last week and I'm still waiting on 6 other schools... fingers crossed. Prayers Up!

3/15/13- GREAT NEWS I got accepted to UNH Law (formally Franklin Pierce) via email! Super excited because they have a new Sports Law Institute beginning this fall started by Michael McCann! Also their ranking went up 23 points in the new US News Rankings! I've never been to the NE... I need to visit.

3/19/13- Got official letter in the mail from UNH Law plus a 15,000 a year scholarship. Very happy. Deposit Due in a month I really hope I hear from Marquette this week. I want to visit UNH before I put down the deposit if I get rejected at Marquette.

At this point I know I'm not going to Valpo. I didn't get any money from them and they arent ranked.

3/23/13- Good News. I got waitlisted at Marquette via snail mail. They are definitely my #1 and its GREAT not to get rejected because it was sort of a reach school too! I can't wait to write a letter of continued interest reiterating that if accepted I will attend.

3/26/13- Waitlisted at Memphis via Email. Withdrawing.

Haven't heard from San Fran or Suffolk but I know I am not attending those schools.

3/28/13- Mailed my LOCI (letter of continued interest) to Marquette. However, if I don't accepted off waitlist before April 15 (first seat deposit due at UNHLaw) then I'm not going, even if I did not sure if I'd attend, applicants don't get scholly offers after being waitlisted. That 15k from UNH is great. Patiently waiting on SLU too....

4/9/13- Rejected at San Fran

Still waiting on SLU... Still on Marquette's waitlist... don't see myself attending either of those school because I won't get any scholarship money. I'm excited about UNH LAW! Deposit due in 5 days!

4/17/13- Seat deposit paid at UNH LAW still no word from SLU or Suffolk... Very excited and happy about being in the Northeast for the next 3 years!

4/22/13- Accepted to Suffolk via snail mail...checked app status checkers for SLU and it said decision made...so I'm waiting on the letter. Not attending but still a little anxious.
