Looks like we are choosing between the same schools. I have CW Students Vent on mymyspace, I'm familar with it. I've been back and forth between the two schools since November. For me, its coming down to Cal Western's programs; California Innocence Project, winning Mock Trials Teams and also their professors; Barbara Cox (most notably). I appreciate the wonderful administration at TJ and the fact that you get a parking space with your seat! Things that concern me about TJ: they are in transition (will be physically moving locations), very very low bar pass rate, they very rarely flunk students out... They work to keep everyone there, even if it means students who aren't meant to law school graduating and passing the bar. TJ attrition rate is about 8%, CW is around 11% - and yes, Cal Western flunks students out. The more competitive atmosphere does scare me a bit, but on the other hand, I think law school is by nature competitive and the people they flunk out aren't fit for the law or don't study well. At least those people won't be taking the bar and reflecting poorly upon their school. I do see quite a lot of heart and passion in both schools though. If you want to chat further, I've left you my e-mail. Please put LAW SCHOOL NUMBERS or something similar in the subject line as I get a lot of spam.
