Congrats on Davis! Sucks to Boalt :-(

I think my ps set me apart. I think boalt just does not care that much about the ps. Ah well... 3 & 4 become 1&2. Of course that'll change again....

whatever

I really do not care what any of you think. 1. I got in to every school I got in to because I have worked my ass off. 2. I never said that I was an URM. Stop jumping to conclusions. 3. There is still *a little* hope in the world of law because schools like umich can look past the numbers. 4. sad that you ppl can't be wise enough to understand that numbers do NOT show who I am. 5. I deserve the best. I will apply to the best.

you all may have better numbers, but I will be a better lawyer than you could ever dream of being. Narrow minded bastards

Shake 'em off girl...

Way to shake those haters off. You deserve everything you've EARNED. PREACH!!!

aid?
Tuesday, June 07 2005 at 08:00 PM

Yes, my acceptances came with financial aid: University of Illinois (full ride), Santa Clara ($18,000), USF ($15,000), and Howard (#15,000). Good luck!

Lookin good!

Girl, congrats!!! Soooo proud of you! Around what time did you receive the e-mail from UCLA? Just want to know when to refresh my e-mail like crazy. ;-)

FYI any post with 'xoxo' or 'hth' or 'ttt' is probably posted by someone from the inferiority-complexed haters who blame their failures on others' successes. Many of them are well-educated and smart, to be sure, and they are also distinguished the reason citizens hate lawyers and law schools are unpleasant.

I appreciate the positive vibes!

The same question
Saturday, September 10 2005 at 08:00 PM

We have very similar numbers. Can you give me any advice on what to include (etc.) on my ps. Also, don't let ignorant KKK members rain on your parade. Congratulations once again!!!

Congratulations
Tuesday, August 16 2005 at 08:00 PM

Your responses to the hatefulness of others show just what set you apart-classiness, dignity, ability to articulate in a "short n sweet" manner. As it has set you above other applicants, I'm sure it will set you above in the legal profession, too. I wish you the best of luck wherever you go!! You've inspired me today and frankly (as we can see from some of the folks on this site) not many of my peers ever have. Ciao!

CONGRATS!

Congratulations on your many acceptances! Your acceptances give me hope that some top schools look past the numbers.

Good job!
Tuesday, July 19 2005 at 08:00 PM

congrats on your acceptances, if you are a minority, let them all know! People will talk shit regardless. Only you and God knows how hard you have worked. Good luck!

Every couple of days i check the application updates and every couple of days i get excited to see someone with scores similar to (or worse than) mine getting into top programs. Usually, i check out the profile to learn a little more. Go ahead check out mine. I have, in more than a few people's opinions, mediocre scores. Please realize, whether you are an URM or not, that your seat is valuable and valued by many. We all have unique experiences and we all tried to score well on the test. You got the spot and considering the average, median or range of scores of the other people accepted you should be very humble. Scores aside, I think everyone with lower-than-top-school scores would say that they worked hard, and wish the schools would look past the numbers, etc. Unfortunately to many applicants it does not seem like they do. For you they have. The bitterness you receive is only intensified by your lack of humility.

Thanks!

tips for Duke
Saturday, October 22 2005 at 08:00 PM

Hi lawyergirl, I was wondering if you could give me some tips on how you got accepted to Duke since your LSAT score is below their average. I am in the same boat! Many thanks!

per say?
Thursday, September 08 2005 at 08:00 PM

to the above respondent: "per say" is actually per se; its meaning is: by itself, derived from Latin.
