Your deferral is shocking! I can only guess that they are yield- protecting because they know you'll get into better schools. When did you find out?

what?

i really dont understand those deferrments. there is no hope for me in that case!

in answer to your question

i did ED, so that kinda gives away my answer. but this round i only applied to schools that i would absolutely be struck with wonder to receive an acceptance letter from! any will do. anyway, you have a nice round of acceptances. so congrats!

With Michigan, Duke, NW, UCLA & UVA under your belt (congrats!!!!!! :) ) have you considered w/d from SC? They are my #1 choice, this is why I ask :) Good luck to you!!!!!!

Congrats!

Thanks for your kind words (yes I still do read my profile) and congrats on your great acceptances so far! Some of those deferrals make no sense - but I think you can still look forward to a few more acceptances. Best of luck to you!!!

Thanks

for the kind words! A fellow UCR grad eh? I always love meeting fellow Highlanders. What can I say? I loved my time there. In any event, CONGRATS on all your acceptances! Your numbers are fantastic and your acceptances are even more impresive! I know plenty of people that would kill just to get into some of the schools you've been accepted to; let alone even dreaming of receiving a scholarship. As for me, I'm leaning towards USD at the moment but I visited Cal Western and was quite impressed. I'm a student without the stellar numbers and I felt as if they valued my contributions aside from my GPA or LSAT score....and that was nice. However, USD does have a better name. So I don't know for sure at this point. Do you have an interest in a particular legal area?

Thanks

IP interest

Sorry it's taken awhile to get back to you. Right now I'm interested in IP with a focus on bio-technology. I'm hoping my BS in Biology would give me a slight leg up. But to be honest, after 3 years of law school, I'm not sure how much Biology I'll remember by then. I've also looked at some top IP firms in SD which is a biotech hub for the country. Unfortunatly it seems like a lot of their top IP attorney's in biotech have advanced science degrees. So I dunno what the future holds. As for SCU, I did apply there specifically for their high ranking IP program. However, I'm still leaning towards the SD area. You can't beat the weather! As of now, are you leaning towards any particular school?
