Additional info & updates

Waitlist letters from Oklahoma and DePaul both came via snail mail and were rather mushy (we love you and hope that you wait for us).

The Pitt letter came via e-mail and looked more like a not-so-subtle rejection letter than a waitlist letter.

3/26/05 Received a waiver of in-state tuition from UNM.

4/4/05 Received notification of $12,000 scholarship from Syracuse

How were you notified about your UNM acceptance? E-mail or snail mail?

Congrats on your acceptances. I am waitlisted at Okl too. I see that we have a few of the same choices. Goodluck.

Congrats on UNM! I'm in there too, though I haven't heard anything about financial aid which is kinda disturbing since they want a deposit by April 15. I applied to U. OK too...we should keep in touch as we soon might be classmates! Good luck!

I'm sorry about Oregon, Levi. I've been hit with a lot of rejections too but am still hoping, maybe blindly, that something good will still come this way. In the meantime I'm sending in my UNM seat deposit even though I've spent the last 2 weeks calling about financial aid. I'm calling again in about 10 min. to find out what's up so I'll post a note to let you know what i've learned. Take care!

UNM Aid Update
Tuesday, August 16 2005 at 08:00 PM

Hey Levi! So I just spoke with Ms. Mitchell regarding aid and the seat deposit. She told me that the reason aid letters haven't gone out is b/c they just set the tuition for this year. 8k for residents, 21400 for non. Now that it has been set, she hoped that by the end of April I would get my letter and gave me a 2 week seat deposit extension in lieu of it all. She was very kind about it and I suggest that if it is something you are concerned about, you should call too as I'm sure she'd be very reasonable about giving you an extension too. Hope that helps! Congrats on the Syracuse money!

So Where are you headed?

Just wondering. I officially declined UNM and OU a few days ago. It's one of my waitlisted schools or another year of work. Take care!
