Additional info & updates

Second time applying but this time to schools where my numbers fit in better. We'll see how it goes. Was wait-listed at both RU schools last year-hopefully one of them takes me this time. I am applying late--so time will tell.

2/4/10- Went for my Pace interview. I think it went well and hope to hear in 4 to 6 weeks.

2/18/10- Called to change my program application to PT @ SHU. I realized I would be wasting my money with the Full time. Crossing my fingers with PT!

2/25/10 I had been complete since 2/2 and finally went "File with admissions committee. Hopefully I'll hear within 2 weeks?

3/3/10 Accepted via email today with a 15k scholarship (5 per year) as a Plumbum Nos in Posterus Scholar. I'm going to law school! :) :) :) I'm beyond happy. Even if I don't get accepted anywhere else, I'm just so thankful.

3/9/10- 42 days later--my file is complete at SHU. I think that has to be a record. 4 to 6 weeks when I'm supposed to hear back--I will probably have even started law school! haha.

3/16/10 Received an email from CUNY that I was accepted yesterday. Also, an email from Newark of an accepatance. :) :) :) :)

3/19/10 Holy Moly. Another acceptance from Hofstra. The CUNY letter was personally signed and had a hand written "Felicitaciones". I wrote my personal statement with the CUNY programs in mind-so it is hard to withdraw from CUNY. The Camden attention has been nice too- so I will be sending a personal card when I withdraw.

3/22/10 My status changed at Pace to "decision mailed". Received the packet 5 business days later. I was accepted. My interview there went really well. It says scholarship information will be sent separately ..so I'm just curious about that. I will be withdrawing but the scholarship will let me know if THEY also thought the interview went so well.

3/29/10 Received a 30K scholarship at Pace. :) I feel so thankful for how well this cycle went.

04/22/10 Snail Mail rejection from SHU. Not to sound condescending but I would have not accepted an offer to SHU unless it was the only school that accepted me. SOO expensive.

Hey, I switched my Seton Hall app to part time and I was accepted with numbers similar (GPA is lower) to yours, so I would say that's definitely a good call. Best of luck with your cycle!

I also applied approximately 40 days ago and they sent me the same email on the same day. Let's see what happens. Hang in there! :)
