My GPA had a downward dip that corresponded with when I started to work while in school.

I took the LSAT twice and scored a 169 and a 171. The majority of the schools I'm applying to take the higher, so I put that in. Also, it makes me feel just a tad bit better about myself.

I know I sent in my applications late. I spent so much time making sure my essay said what I wanted it to that I missed the fall boat (and a good portion of the winter boat as well). It doesn't make the waiting any less tedious.

All monies are in total award over three years.

03-22-08 - ND's "Provisional List," whatever that is. I've decided to input that as a waitlist.

03-24-08 - My first flat out rejection. Oh well.

03-26-08 - Rejected at UW. That one stings. I'm from the area and want to come back here.

03-27-08 - Got the UVA email. Probably a waitlist according to the chatter on the intertubes. Still, I'm not changing mine until they say that. I don't want to have any bad vibes going.

- I just now noticed, I've heard back from half my schools! (if you count Minnesota's hold crap as "hearing back.") Anyway, I find this reinvigorating. And since the decisions seem to be coming faster now, I hope to be done shortly!

- See? I mention my half my schools status, and I get a call from home. Letter from Columbia. It's a waitlist, or deferral, or something. But it's not a rejection, which is good.

05-06-08 Congratulations to Boston University! You're the last school to let me know! (Cornell sent me that letter about let us know if you're still interested and we'll put you on the waitlist. I'm counting it as contact, but only just.)

We have a similar numbers split and went complete at many of the same schools around the same time. How did you find out about the Columbia and Penn decisions?
