Good luck people. Comments welcome & appreciated.
-----------------------------------
10/25/06 - All my apps are in.

11/13/06 - Added U-Oregon app. just because.

11/20/06 - U-Kentucky rejection in a little white envelope. A wham, bam, thank you ma'am. That is seriously the fastest rejection I've ever received. Gotta say, I feel a bit used.

12/08/06 - U-Denver ACCEPTANCE. WOOT. It came in a big envelope and I thought it was just a brochure! *Happy Dance*

12/11/06 - Email Notification that I have been accepted into U-Denver. (Which I already knew, see above.)

12/15/06 - Hastings Webadvisor says deined admissions today. Poo...

12/21/06 - Email Acceptance from Penn State telling me that the formal snail mail acceptance is on it's way. Now I have choices. :D
- Hastings snail mail rejection. They didn't waste much time...
- Has anyone checked the Seattle University Status Checker? Mine says decision mailed but then it also says updated 01/01/07... it's not quite january yet, so i'm wondering what this means?

12/26/06 - Penn State Snail Mail Acceptance + Scholarship Packet
- Rejected from U-Houston. A little surprised, but I guess that's how the cookie crumbles.

12/27/06 - Gonzaga sent me an acceptance letter via snail mail. It was a huge envelope, not a business letter sized one. It also included scholarship money.

01/03/07 - U-Maine Acceptance in a thin, plain, business-sized envelope. Sorta odd, I almost thought it was a waitlist letter.

01/08/07 - Seton Hall rejection, small white envelope snail mail.

01/09/07 - Seattle U acceptance, big white envelope via snail mail.

01/16/07 - Mercer U rejection, small white envelope.

01/20/07 - Indiana U-Indianapolis acceptance, small white envelope.
- Temple sent me a small white envelope asking if I wanted to be waitlisted. After a lot of thought, I decided to stay on the waitlist.

01/25/07 - Indiana U-Bloomington rejection in a small, white envelope. It was a typical one pager rejection letter. Eh, no biggie.

01/29/07 - Medium sized envelope waitlisting me at American. ARGH. Sucky... does anyone know how much movement there is for waitlist people at American? Deciding if I should even bother writing and sending updates.

02/08/07 - Chapman acceptance, big envelope via snail mail. $17K+/year maintaining a 3.0.

02/12/07 - Rejected from GWU. It came in a small white envelope via snail mail. I knew it would happened, I hoped against all hope it wouldn't, and it hurt that it did.

02/17/07 - Withdrawing from U-Maine.

03/12/07 - UNLV acceptance, big envelope w/ a one time $5k scholarship.
- L&C deferred me. They said a final decision should come sometime in April-May.

03/24/07 - Indiana U scholarship letter.
- U of Az rejection, small white envelope. Ouch, really wanted to attend here...

03/30/07 - Withdrawing from: Gon. U and UNLV

04/01/07 - Will be withdrawn from IU-I.

04/09/07 - Big envelope from the Univ. of Oregon.
- Small Envelope, waitlisted at U-Iowa.

04/11/07 - Withdrawing from Chapman
Withdrawing from Penn State
Withdrawing from U-Denver

04/13/07 - I accepted SU before I knew about UO and now I'm considering my options again... also hoping I still have a shot at USD.

04/14/07 - Accepted to USD, big envelope via snail mail. It's for the evening division but I can always transfer to day division next year, right?

04/17/07 - Small white envelope, waitlisted at Univ. CO-B.

04/28/07 - Withdrawing from UO

06/22/07 - U-Iowa admissions check on the website says "waitlist terminated." I'm guessing that's a no.

07/02/07 - Case Western waitlisted me this late in the game, which is exactly why I am withdrawing.

07/10/07 - Univ. CO rejection... I'm not surprised, it's hard getting off the waitlist...
- I'm not really interested in going to Lewis and Clark or Southwestern, so I'm really only waiting on Temple and American now.

07/11/07 - Temple sent me an email informing me that there were no spaces left, but I was still on the waitlist, and if anyone drops out they could still accept me. But I decided to withdraw b/c I'm set at USD.

08/25/07 - American Univ. rejection... not that it matters since I'm in my second week at USD.

I suspect Lewis and Clark didn't receive my email to stay on the waitlist. I think this closes my cycle.

Enjoy future potential law school students!

Indiana - Bloomington

i'm a 1L there now. you can do better! Would be glad to chat.

Thanks~

My first choice is either Loyola or Hastings...can you tell me when (what month you applied) and which schools you didnt get into?

Denver
Monday, October 02 2006 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on Denver..It's one of my top choices if I can get in. Did you get an email in addition to the letter in the mail?

Good Luck
Sunday, September 17 2006 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on Denver!! My application was in a little later than yours but I hope I get a decision sometime soon. Maybe an early xmas present?

penn state
Sunday, September 17 2006 at 08:00 PM

congrats once again. Maybe they mixed up our addresses... I'm still waiting on mine.

SDSU
Sunday, September 17 2006 at 08:00 PM

I went to SDSU for my undergrad. San Diego is one of my favorite cities in the US and going to USD would be a great choice. My only reservation is that I wonder if there are many career opportunities there.. seems like most people head up to LA for internships/jobs and the competition there is fierce! Where did you go to school?

SU
Thursday, October 19 2006 at 08:00 PM

Wow, almost a #s twin. Best of luck this cycle. The SU status checker is odd. Mine hasn't changed yet, I submitted a week after you, but I'm expecting lots of decisions to go out next week. They're supposedly closed until Jan. 2.

I feel ya!
Sunday, December 24 2006 at 07:00 PM

I was surprised that I was waitlisted at UH. My numbers are higher than some who were accepted. Also, I have been out of school for a couple years and have a Master's Degree with a 4.0. Keep your head up and a friend of mine went to Denver and loved it. She is doing very well now.

Uh
Tuesday, December 26 2006 at 07:00 PM

UH rejection scares me, i want to get in there badly. what'd it look like?

Best of Luck
Wednesday, December 06 2006 at 07:00 PM

definitely rooting for you too. i like that Denver acceptance, I think I'd like it up there, good luck w/ oregon and san diego too, i think we both applied there.

Gonzaga
Wednesday, January 03 2007 at 07:00 PM

$ for one year or three? Congrats

Congrats!
Sunday, December 31 2006 at 07:00 PM

Congratulations on the acceptance/scholarship to Penn State! I applied there too, still waiting on one LOR to be complete....Good luck with the rest of your apps!

Thanks
Sunday, December 31 2006 at 07:00 PM

Thanks for the encouragement! I am married and a homeowner, so I'm not all that mobile. I'm not interested in biglaw, and I think Penn State is a great school. I'm sure for my purposes it will be enough to get me a job after grad, especially since I'm hoping to stay in the area (and hopefully I'll get a sizeable scholarship - that would be very nice). Anyway, maybe we'll be classmates next year :-)

SU
Thursday, October 19 2006 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on SU. I'm hoping to hear from one of my local schools soon. Any mention of $ from them?

Seattle
Friday, February 24 2006 at 07:00 PM

Congrats on Seattle! I am really hoping that I get in there! Has your status changed yet on the online status checker? Thanks. Good luck with the rest of your schools.

Thanks
Sunday, December 31 2006 at 07:00 PM

Thanks for the advice and encouragement :-) I'll anxiously be awaiting the two small white envelopes!

re: Grades and LSAT
Tuesday, May 16 2006 at 08:00 PM

you sound a little jealous, "Your Critic." if you look at the actual denver application, ethnicity is optional and i didn't fill it in. i also don't have an asian last name. they had no clue i was asian. i received a personal handwritten note from the dean of admissions and a phone call. denver loves me and i love denver. and just for your personal information, not all asian ethnicities are considered "chinks" but i can be assured that you're a racist jerk. you can't even use a racial slur correctly. thanks for visiting, sign in next time so i can leave a nice little note on your wall too.

Hate mail. . .
Wednesday, August 30 2006 at 08:00 PM

I got into Denver too and my lsat score is a lot lower than yours...so to your critic, he/she probably needs to work on their soft still and personal statement. Congrats and I think your score is fabulous!

Congrats
Monday, December 18 2006 at 07:00 PM

On all the acceptances :) You're in at a few of my dream schools! :) Good luck in the rest of the cycle!

??
Tuesday, September 26 2006 at 08:00 PM

wow, penn state's top 25% lsat (159), mercer's top 25% lsat (158)..... so how did you get the shaft from one, and $$ from the other? ( both of these schools are of interest to me by the way.)

good luck
Wednesday, December 27 2006 at 07:00 PM

similar stats and some of the same schools. good luck!

thanks
Wednesday, December 27 2006 at 07:00 PM

I don't know what my top choice is... it seems to change everyday. Assuming OSU doesn't reject me (ha!) I'd probably go there. You have quite a diverse selection as well. What's your top choice?

UDENVER
Sunday, September 17 2006 at 08:00 PM

IM IN! How does Denver rank on your list of schools? So far it's my only acceptance so it looks like im Denver bound (as of now anyway)

CA vs CO
Sunday, September 17 2006 at 08:00 PM

You described exactly what I was thinking. I'd like to eventually end up in CA (San Diego most likely) so going to school in CA would make the most sense. But, going to school out of state sounds fun right now. I guess a USD acceptance would make life easier, huh?! :)

Thanks!
Sunday, December 31 2006 at 07:00 PM

I'm keeping my fingers crossed too - hopefully the scholarship from W&M is a sign of good things to come from PSU! Congrats on your recent acceptance to IU and the Gonzaga scholarship! And don't pay any attention to Your Critic - obviously his numbers were worse than yours! You deserve every acceptance you've gotten.

Scholarship
Sunday, December 31 2006 at 07:00 PM

Well I got my scholarship info from PSU - not quite what I was expecting, but it's better than nothing. I'm thinking about appealing though, since W&M offered more. Congrats on Chapman - talk about huge scholarships! :-)

are you going
Sunday, September 17 2006 at 08:00 PM

to the Denver open house on march 26th?

Gonzaga Congrats
Tuesday, January 16 2007 at 07:00 PM

I just found out from Gonzaga too. They sent me an e-mail to some admitted students online chat. Strange, but glad to know I was accepted.

I dunno yet.
Sunday, September 17 2006 at 08:00 PM

I'd like to check it out but I'm not sure if it's worth going to. I hate the "open house" meetings that just try to sell you on the school without actually giving any insight into what it's like.

congrats
Tuesday, February 20 2007 at 07:00 PM

Congrats on your many acceptances (and more to come, I'm sure)--our numbers are pretty identical, and I REALLY wish I would've seen your profile before I applied to Mercer! I still haven't heard back from them, and it's my first-choice school. Looking at where you applied, I might have sort of lowballed, but why in the crap did you not get into Mercer? Regional thing? And, to the tacky bastard(ess) aka "Your Critic," Strom Thurmond's been dead for years now! You're not missing much if you don't go to law school down South! Argh. I promise not all Southerners are such bigots!

great job
Saturday, January 27 2007 at 07:00 PM

similar numbers, and schools applied to. looks like we both went to UCSD also. best of luck! what are you top choices? penn is a big deal!

?
Sunday, September 17 2006 at 08:00 PM

Are you waiting on USD like the rest of us? What are your thoughts on DU vs. USD?

IU-Indy
Thursday, January 04 2007 at 07:00 PM

Congradulations on all your acceptances! If you don't mind, could you please withdraw from IU-Indy if you are not planning on attending? It's the only school that I applied to and I am on the line with my numbers. Thanks!

IU-Indy
Thursday, January 04 2007 at 07:00 PM

Thanks for the withdraw. Good luck in law school!

hey!!
Saturday, February 24 2007 at 07:00 PM

:) I hope all is well. I'm still waiting on UNLV, but I didn't go complete until about a month later than you did. I'm hoping for it for proximity's sake. Arizona gave me the boot too, but I went complete REALLY late, and I think they're super hard-core numbers based, but who really knows?! ;) Looks like you gave yourself quite a bit of leeway in terms of choices... wish I'd done that! Well, I hope you get what you want! Best of luck and perseverence!

typo
Saturday, February 24 2007 at 07:00 PM

haha, that's *perseverance*, sorry to leave a typo on your comments! hahaha! well, thanks for the message! i hate the waiting game too, but when we finally get into the "business", all we'll be doing is waiting around for client responses, court orders and other fun stuff like that, won't we. we can always just flare our nostrils in anticipation! :8D

DU
Wednesday, December 27 2006 at 07:00 PM

i see you've narrowed your choices down. Denver's a great place, so i'm glad to see it's on your list still. good luck wherever you end up!

Attending two schools?
Sunday, February 11 2007 at 07:00 PM

Hey, I just wanted to point out that you have the "A" up for Seattle and USD. Which are you attending and how did you decide? Just curious because we applied to some of the same schools. Congratulations on the excellent cycle as well!

usd
Saturday, January 27 2007 at 07:00 PM

wow! congrats on the acceptance! they are waitlisting many with our numbers in that range!

:)
Saturday, March 31 2007 at 08:00 PM

congrats on san diego! i'm hoping they give me a shot..will you be attending there or seattle?

USD
Saturday, March 31 2007 at 08:00 PM

thanks! yea hopefully we'll run into each other, i have a really great feeling about the school and I'm visiting in late june/early july to figure out my living situation..all i hear from ppl is how floored they are with the students, faculty, campus..i'm excited about the faculty being top 25, that's really important for me..have you visited the school?
