So the LSAT f*cked you, too, eh?

So....at least there's more than one person out there that the LSAT f*cked up their chances. I think the LSAT is royal bullsh*t and schools care way too much about it, rather than those of us (like yourself) who bust our a$$ for 4 years of college and actually do well. They'd rather admit these dumb a$$ slackers, who probably have never studied for a damn test or done homework in their life!!! So are you going to attend Hawaii? Or are you going to wait another year like I am and try again? Anyway, check out my profile, I think you'll enjoy it and it'll give you some good laughs.

The \"I\'m applying to law school arena\

I agree with you. Most people seem to think that if you didn\'t attend a top 20 school, you won\'t get very far. However, that\'s far from true if you check out US News and their numbers and the average salary rankings. You don\'t have to attend a top 20 school to be successful. I\'ve never done well on standardized tests, either. I was valedictorian of my high school class and I still didn\'t have great numbers on the SAT or the ACT. I even took the GRE and GMAT and the only parts I did well on were the writing samples and the Math. There is no math on the LSAT, which I think is bull, because there are certain parts of the law profession (such as with tax lawyers, lawyers who have to deal with financial affidavits or in civil small claims court, etc.) that definitely use math all the time. But alas, obviously, the LSAT designers don\'t think lawyers need to know any math, so that hurts those of us that are good at math and trying to get into school. I myself pretty much think I\'m going to end up waiting another year. I\'m not rich, but I guess I\'ll just attempt to take the test a third time, after taking a Kaplan course. I don\'t know that this is going to significantly change my score, and basically, it would have to go above 160 to do so anyway, since this is my 3rd attempt. But I figure I can\'t do any worse than I already have, so... I also thought of taking some paralegal courses and becoming a paralegal and adding that to next year\'s application, and figured that would improve my chances, knowing I\'ve already taking law classes and by then would most likely have a job in the legal profession by the time my app was reviewed. Lastly, I could start earlier in the cycle instead of the end of January. So I really don\'t know. There\'s still a slight chance I\'ll end up going to Rutgers, but unless they take me off the waitlist for their summer Contracts class, I pretty much doubt it. If you want to talk some more, send me an e-mail at: kulgirlnco@yahoo.com I\'d love to discuss the issue further.
