Additional info & updates

Duke, Cornell applications for JD/LLM; Berkeley reject out of CR2.

Scholarship amounts are original offers, which in some cases changed through negotiation. (NYU's didn't).

I was very sick for much of my cycle, which postponed my applications until after the New Year; that said, not sure the end result would have been much different.

As far as my application goes, I didn't do most of the "why X" essays if they were an entirely separate piece, but tried to integrate it into my statement. I think my PS was technically well written but probably could have been more engaging; I'm a much stronger analytical writer than a narrative one. Again, not sure it ultimately mattered much.

Picked NYU as I'm interested in continuing to be engaged internationally, especially with public law. NYU was my "realistic first choice" coming in, so everything turned out quite well.

Congrats! Would you mind sharing how long it took NYU to get back to you on the Dean's Scholarship after you had submitted all your forms? I was late getting mine in but deposit deadlines are creeping up... Thanks!
