Additional info & updates

Both parents are lawyers. They never even suggested I go into law when I was growing up, and I never wanted to. Then I get interested in politics and labor rights in college....and now I want to be a lawyer. Weird how things work out.

Best of luck everyone!

1/5: Sent out all applications (except NE; sent that out in Dec)

2/27: This month seemed like a bummer at first: waitlisted at Case, Pitt, Penn State, rejected at Wisconsin and Minnesota (expected, though)

...but accepted at Syracuse! And with 27k per year merit scholarship! They also have great joint-degree opportunities with their grad schools, so maybe get a masters in poli sci if i go there. Apparently great alumni network too. Already doubt any other school will beat this money...

3/28: Waitlisted at Louis & Clark, NE, Temple...withdrew from all waitlists. I don't expect money from them if accepted (NE without scholarships waaaay to expensive considering grads would be competing with Harvard, BU, and BC).

Oregon taking its dear sweet time, but probably won't be going even if accepted....probably can't beat with Syracuse on scholarships/joint-degree programs, and not ready to move 1,000 miles from everyone I know

Syracuse seeming all but definite and I'm getting more and more excited about it. Talked to a recent alum (family friend of-a-friend) who got a joint JD/MS in chemistry and she now works for a patent firm in DC....she pretty much sold me on the school.
