Additional info & updates

I have a weak academic record/LSAT score but incredible strong military and professional experience.

I honestly took only 3 practice LSATs prior to the actual exam. I was scoring in the high 150's low 160's and had a false sense of security going into the test. I am planning on taking the February exam and will take a prep course (any recommendations?).

I am a disabled combat veteran from injuries sustained in Iraq. I have been awarded the purple heart and other valorous awards for my service.

My personal and diversity statements are extremely strong. Both highlight my military and leadership experience as well as humanitarian work in bringing Iraqi refugees to the US.

My LORs are from notable Military Officers.

I am applying to Jan/spring start law schools; however, I am considering an internship in a separate field/industry which may lead me to part time programs starting in the fall.

12/13/11: Just received email from Charlotte stating that I've been accepted. I'm still waiting to hear from other schools before I make a decision, most likely will not be attending.

I wasn't actually waitlisted, rather denied admission to the spring start because I didn't meet Cooley's admission index. However, Cooley stated in their letter that I am being considered for a one week skills instruction program at the end of which I may be offered acceptance. I should be notified in a month or so if I will be allowed to attend this course...Anyone know anything about this week long program???
