Well, my preference was Stetson. I know I'm only waitlisted there, but I doubt I'll get any money even if I do get in. I live very close to the school, though. I'm not interested in moving to South FL. And my numbers were not acceptable for UF. Other than that, there aren't many practical choices in FL, in my opinion. Post-grad employment rates are so low at schools like Cooley (which just opened a Tampa campus) and FAMU. Law School Predictor gave me Drake and ONU as options and I really like Drake a lot.
Also, I should disclose that I'm pretty neurotic and actually created a spreadsheet in order to decide where to apply. I consider things such as walkability of the area, post-grad employment rates, bar passage rates, Law School Predictor ratings, price, presence of certain amenities, and housing costs. I also looked into public schools, because I do have a child. That's how I came up with these, seemingly random, choices. Might still apply at FAMU. Have until May 31.
Congrats on your first acceptance! Do you have a preference of where you'd like to go? What led you to Drake? Unusual choice for a Floridian.
