Additional info & updates

My GPA is low because I failed to withdraw from classes at the first college I attended, resulting in a .36 GPA. I took some time off and worked a few FT office jobs until I was ready to go back to school. I went on to community college and received a 3.8. I transferred to Columbia University and graduated with a 3.6. I was in the Honors Program at community college, and was on the Dean's List at community college & Columbia.

I only had a few weeks to study for the LSAT, while working 60 hours per week, hence the low LSAT (I am an office manager for a busy construction firm - most days I am on call 24 hrs per day). I am hoping I can get into a FT program, even though I have a low LSAT & LSDAS GPA. My top choices are Rutgers or Seton Hall, because I own a condo so I can't move out of state. There aren't too many options, since I don't want to travel into the city 5 days per week.

I wrote an addendum for my low GPA & break from school, but I should have also done one for my low LSAT. I guess I'll see what happens.

Although it is late in the cycle, I would recommend applying to some T3/T4 in ur region... Even though ur likely a much better candidate than most people with higher numbers than you, law schools still play numbers games.. This is an unfortunate fact of life.. If you are really dedicated to going to law school, you can always try to retake LSAT and/or apply to some lower ranked schools.. You can be successful out of T3/T4 if you work hard or you can always transfer to a higher ranked school after your 1L... Obviously you have already had success transferring in your UG career.. GL!
