Additional info & updates

10-11 -
Applied to the Western New England Public Interest Scholars program.

1/4/12 -
Received my December 2011 LSAT score which was a 148. It's bittersweet because when I was taking practice tests from September to December my score ranged from a 139 to a 147 so this is my highest test score. I really don't want to take it again in February. But I thank God that I was confident enough to take it and I pray that He guides me.

Will keep you updated and God bless all with this law school process.

1/9/12 -
Emailed all my schools (except Texas Southern University) to let them know to hold my application until I receive my February 2012 LSAT score.

1/16/12 -
Checked online status checker for Texas Southern. The application has been sent to the committee.

1/30/12 -
Checked online status checker for Texas Southern. It states that the decision has been sent via mail. Also, I decided to apply to CUNY and sent my application. The tuition is extremely low but I'm a little nervous about the commute because I would be residing in Albany.

2/2/12 -
VERY FIRST LAW SCHOOL ACCEPTANCE! Accepted at Southern Texas via mail. No scholarship mentioned but it's good to know that a law school sees my potential to succeed in law school. Also, I called Western New England and told them to complete my application instead of holding it. I have faith in God that I will get accepted and if not, than it's not where I should be. Good luck to all!!!

2/8/12 -
Accepted at Florida Coastal with $12,500/yr scholarship. Also, I called WNEC to check the status of my application. They accepted me right over the phone. YES!!!! At least I know I'm going to law school. No scholarship mentioned for WNEC.

2/9/12 -
Accepted at Touro Law via Status Checker.

2/13/12 -
Checked status checker for Cooley Law School which mentions the decision has been sent via mail. Also, took the February 2012 LSAT exam. I'm praying that I did well.

2/16/12 -
Decided to apply to University of Connecticut Law School. It's a stretch but I'm going to go for it. Also, received acceptance package from Cooley with scholarship.

3/8/12-
Received my LSAT score for February. Received a 148 AGAIN!!! I'm a little uptight but I know God works in mysterious ways so I have faith that God will work everything out. Also, told law schools to complete my apps for UConn, Albany, Ubuffalo, and CUNY. Also, requested money from Western New England

3/12/12-
Albany updated status today and it went from "application is being reviewed" to "file is before admissions committee". Please, please please accept me Albany. This is my first choice. After acceptance, I will withdraw from all law schools unless WNEC gives me scholarship money. I went to WNEC on Sat. and it was very easy, but long drive.

3/20/12-
In at Albany Law. HOORAY!!! Long Story on acceptance . Also, UConn application is in review according to Assistant Dean and Status Checker. They should let me know outcome within 2 weeks. I would like to receive some money from my top law schools. Will continue to keep all updated. Thank you JESUS!!!

3/21/12-
Received accepted students open house email from Albany Law at the end of the day. Very excited to go.

3/26/12-
Went to Accepted Students Day at Albany Law. Very informative and I do love Albany. I did ask for some money possibly a diversity scholarship. I registered for the June LSAT so that some of these schools can offer me some scholarships. Albany is expensive and if they can offer me some money to help lower the costs, I will go. Nevertheless, I will put my deposit down at Albany. I'm 99% sure I will be going. Not sure about WNEC. I may go to their accepted students day 3/31. Also, called UConn and they said I should have a decision this week or possibly next week. Probably won't go but they have a lot of scholarship and need based grant options.

4/2/12-
I will be attending Albany Law School. I'm putting my deposit down tomorrow. I withdrew from CUNY. I will be withdrawing from WNEC, UBuffalo and UConn soon. Oh yea...whoever said I wouldn't be getting into any schools but WNEC... EPIC FAIL!!!!!!!! Everyone go for your dreams. My numbers were really low but have faith in God, and yourself and apply to schools that are reaches because you never know. Have a great cycle...ALBANY LAW CLASS OF 2015 HERE I COME!

UPDATE: 6/29/12-
Accepted to SUNY Buffalo Law School. Whoohoo!!!

7/26/12 - Decided on Albany Law. I have a State Job and all my family is in the area. Tough choice between UBuffalo and Albany but for me personally, it's the right decision for me.

Uconn & Albany

@ parenthical- I withdrew a week before they were supposed to give me a decision. Keep in mind that Uconn was for their parT time program. @ anonymous - my friend had the same message and it was, indeed, a denial letter and she applied for the part time program. Please keep in mind that I received the same message and I was accepted so I'm not sure. Maybe you can call but the letter comes fairly soon. Good luck to all.
