Additional info & updates

LSAT listed is an (admittedly hopeful) estimate, posted to better use the site's features.

My GPA is the unfortunate product of a prolonged period of apathy in my undergrad years, which coincided with a decision to switch from a History to a Biochem major. BAD IDEA. Took me an entire school year to figure that out, too.

Major gpa was 3.75, though I changed back too late to do anything special, like an honor's thesis. Worst part was, the requirements for a chem minor are ridiculously worse than for a liberal arts minor, so I didn't even get to have that on my transcript!

I plan to take the LSAT in September. Timed practice tests have me in the mid 170s range, with no real studying done, so I'm cautiously optimistic. I've always been a great test-taker, thank God.

I'm moving permanently to Chicago soon, and if I decide I truly wish to go to law school, I will pretty much focus all of my energy towards U of C or Northwestern. Given that I have some notion of possibly entering the legal academia, those would be my only two legit options in the area.

I'm not 100% sure law school is even what I want; that would be why I didn't apply straight out of UG. I am leaning that way, however.

For now I'm registering here to better make use of the site. I'm studying for the LSAT and developing some essay ideas while I continue to work, so hopefully I can make myself more attractive to my top choices.

This is a great community. I'll enjoy being a part of it :)
