10/23 - Mich, UVA, Columbia, Chi, Penn, Berk, Cornell
11/29 - NW, Vandy, Duke
applied only to schools with full-time, legal employment statistics at or above 80% and with "jobs-perceived-as-desirable" employment statistics at or above 65%, minus Harv, Yale, and Stan, and with the exception of Berk (due to my love of SF; Berk only missed my criteria by having a jobs-perceived-as-desirable employment statistic of 64%, anyway)*

How long did you study for the LSAT to get that score, and what was your first diagnostic score?

My LSAT study log shows focused study for 366.75 hours over nine months. I never took a diagnostic test, but I had a test score as low as 158.

Did Duke send you a fee waiver through CAS or did you ask them for one? Congrats on the LSAT btw. Excited for your cycle. I'm Chem E as well.

Duke granted me the fee waiver because LSAC granted me their fee waiver. (All schools above honor LSAC fee waivers.) Thank you, and congrats to you for getting your chem-e degree. If every class in law school is easier than process control, we should be okay haha

It is life-changing for me, and I cried a lot about it. Thank you for the kind words. Your cycle is heading in a good direction. I'm interested in seeing where you end up, so I'm marking your profile.

First of all, HOLY SMOKES THAT LSAT SCORE. Second of all, CONGRATS ON PENN! I love seeing people who aren't just an above-median GPA and LSAT get into top schools. Your organization sounds amazing. <3

OMG you are so kind ha. I'm surprised how many compliments I get on that LSAT score. I still missed 5 points! I wanted them, too. I'm glad my top choice accepted me. I can't wait to move. My org. did some cool work, and it was the highlight of college, but it didn't help my GPA : ) can't wait to see your cycle unfold. It looks really unpredictable, like mine was. Those are the most exciting : )

Do you think applying ED for Penn is a good reason they accepted you?

I can only speculate that the idea of yield protection has some merit.

I created an account just to speak with you. Your admissions cycle gives me hope. Glad this will give you a great future. Congrats on the LSAT score! Ill be applying this year with a 3.1. Im aiming for Cornell, and am hoping to get a 173+ on the LSAT. Do you have any idea why you were rejected by Cornell?

Michelle, it is a real honor to hear from you. Don't you already have your JD? On a serious note, Cornell didn't give me any clues around their rejection. I appreciate the kind words. With a 3.1, your potential is high.

Looking at the graphs so far, of my list, Cornell and Berkeley don't favor those with low GPAs and high LSATs, relative to, say, Penn, VA, and Chicago.

Thanks, Oxford. Ive noticed that as well. Berkeley is my first choice, actually, but I know Ill never get in with my GPA, even though my last three years were all As. Their loss!
