Additional info & updates

So I definitely just got a full ride to William Mitchell in St. Paul, MN. And the deposit waived. Wow. I never even expected this.

1.21.10: I have a love/hate relationship with being on the waitlist.

2.16.10: Just checked my status at St. Louis. It said decision made and letter to be mailed shortly, but then it wrote for my second email my name@slu.edu. Soo... I think I got in?! Pretty sweet. Anyone else having trouble figuring out where they wanna go? I'm clueless. I really need these waitlist answers to come in. I would drop my accepted schools in a heartbeat to get into my #1 waitlist. Argh!

2.22.10: I was right. I did get into SLU with the bonus of a pretty sweet scholarship. Now I just need to hear back from the rest of my schools. Only 7 left (2 defers)...and time is running out. A little over a month left before my first deposit is due. YIKES. I'll prob make my decision/withdraw in a few weeks. Nerve-wracking!

2.27.10: Rejected from Brooklyn. Not that big of a surprise. Oh well. Getting closer to that decision though...not. Something tells me Miami might be it.

3.6.10: So UF status checker says that my decision letter is in transit. I have a feeling that its a rejection letter. I'm left with UC Davis (i know it'll be rejection), st. john's, and u of san deigo. I think I'll just wait it out for my pending and my waitlists. Now for my acceptances, I need to start withdrawing within a couple of weeks so I can further seriously consider schools. I'm really leaning towards Miami, Indiana, SLU/Hofstra. WM is awesome cause of the full-ride, but I don't think I can see myself there. That might be my first withdraw. Yikes..

3.9.10: Waitlisted at St. Johns?! Are you kidding me? Man.. that's a blow to the ego. I totally thought I would get in! UGH. This does not make this process go by easier. I'm probably THE most indecisive person ever so this whole picking-a-law-school thing is totally not easy. I have even resorted to "fate's little clues" in life such as at work I constantly see the colors of UMiami (green and orange.. ew what an awful combo of colors.. well its not as bad as yellow and blue). I've hit a low. I know. Time to go research the law school websites and hit up some airfare prices. Ta ta!

3.28.10: Just paid Indiana's deposit just so they can tell me what scholarships, if any, i can get. Glad the deposit is refundable. Visiting Miami soon too. I'm moving along in my decisions. Gotta send out my withdraw's soon though.

4.23.10: So I guess I'm attending UMiami unless I get into one of my waitlists... Sun, here I come!

Congrats! I know that sounds weird because it's a waitlist, but they seem to reject EVERYONE, so a waitlist is actually pretty awesome.

Congrats on Hofstra! and the two waitlists :) Also, we have similar numbers and schools so good luck to you!!

Congrats on your cycle so far and the full ride to WM. How did IU-Indy respond to you, and any word on scholarships? We've got the same #'s so i'm curious. Good luck with the rest of your decisions.

I know how you are feeling when you say that you feel clueless in making the decision. I feel like I'm making this decision fast and without a complete set of facts (b/c of the waitlists, missing fin aid docs, etc)...Where's SLU at on your list?

Glad to hear you are narrowing it down. I've got it down to Case Western and SLU b/c I want to study Health Law. Don't feel bad about turning down a full ride...I'm turning down two - Akron and Valpo. Best of luck making a decision
