12/01 - Phone acceptance to UVa! I didn't realize I would get a decision at UVa so soon.
12/12 - Snail mail acceptance from USC postmarked 12/10
12/15 - In at Cornell via snail mail. Status checker says my app went to decision on 12/11.
12/26 - IN AT NYU!! Letter came in a big purple envelope. Wow... definitely wasn't expecting this!
12/29 - Package from Michigan finally arrived! Already knew I got in through the status checker. The video on the flash drive was pretty impressive.
1/08 - IN AT CHICAGO!! via call from admissions office
1/15 - Phone call from UPenn! Status checker changed to "Decision Rendered" yesterday.
1/16 - Just got an email acceptance from Northwestern!
1/22 - Offer of Dean's scholarship from Michigan came in the mail.
2/07 - Letter from USC with $75k scholarship guaranteed over 3 years.
2/14 - Withdrew from USC, Texas, and Vandy. Hope this helps those who are still waiting to hear back from those 3.
2/17 - Held by Columbia. Bummer.
2/19 - Bad news continues... rejected by Berkeley via status checker. Looks like the cycle is pretty much over.
2/27 - Got call from Dean Schwartz, in at UCLA!! Every excited to have been accepted by my alma mater.
3/16 - Duke Scholarship via mail
3/21 - Cornell financial aid offer
3/24 - Withdrawing from GULC and UCLA today
4/15 - Harvard waitlist by email. Also withdrew from Cornell
4/20 - Columbia Reserve by snail mail
Cycle is over! Time to decide!!

4/22 - Penn informs me they can't match scholarships from Michigan and UVA... looks like Penn's out of the running. I had really wanted to go there too =(
4/26 - Withdrawing from Penn, UVA, and Duke today

NYU it is!! Really sad to turn down Michigan. They were my top choice for a while.

thanks, patentlaw! congratulations on all your fine acceptances, as well :) as to the uva scholarship, i just used "120,000" as lazy, english major shorthand for "whatever $36,800 x 3 is." it is more accurately a $110,000 scholarship, now that i am thinking a little harder about it. are you going to uva asw?
