11/08/13: Not a peep from any school. So much for early applications :-/
11/14/13: I'm getting a little depressed (maybe a lot depressed) but for the sake of completeness below are my "Under Review" status dates so far. No change after "Complete" statuses at other schools ***SIGHS***
UPENN: UCR(1) 10/02/13, UCR(2) 10/25/13
VILLANOVA: IN REVIEW 11/11/13
11/22/13: This is getting ridiculous. I thought I would have received SOMETHING from AT LEAST ONE school by now. I don't know. I'll probably lay off of LSN. Seeing everyone else's acceptances doesn't help. Oh well. Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving everyone :-)
12/01/13: Reality check- going to law school is something I've wanted for years and after months of waiting I've begun to get depressed at the thought of not being admitted anywhere. But there is more to life. I'm thankful for life and the time that I have to spend it my family & friends ....

12/03/13: IN @ VILLANOVA!!!!!!!! Words can't express how excited and thankful I am right now!!!! :-)
12/05/13: I'm still hoping for more acceptances, however, I'm preparing my mindset for Nova. They're the only school with a center dedicated to sports law so I am eager at the opportunity to join. More to come!!!
So just found out that Penn decisions are expected to come out tomorrow ..... it's going to suck getting that rejection :-(
12/23/13: "It is better to attempt something great and fail than attempt to do nothing and succeed."
01/16/14: I have officially moved on to trying to narrow my financial aid options down. I've been pleasantly surprised to find a couple scholarships that I am eligible for. Unfortunately, they involve complex application processes involving MORE LORs and PSs. LOL. Fun times. I'm still hoping on other acceptances with scholarship $$$ that I can use to leverage more aid from Nova. I plan on mentioning my acceptance into Drexel two-year program which although offered less money would be cheaper in the long-run since it is for a shorter period. Hopefully that will serve as good ammo. Stay tuned :-)
02/03/14: IN @ Temple! I am truly blessed. Years ago I couldn't get in anywhere (anywhere good anyway). This year I've been admitted into three great schools. It sounds very corny but my hope is that other users and future prospective law applicants will view my profile and take one lesson: NEVER GIVE UP. I was told to give up on law school, told I wouldn't raise my LSAT score, told to just be a career paralegal, you name it. But I'm here now. If you have support and the strength to keep trying PLEASE do not let others dissuade you and tell you what they think you should do. Choose your own journey, set your own goals, and never give up.
02/27/14: Scholarships are in totals. Villanova increased their initial offer & Drexel offered to match it.
04/14/14: I will be attending Temple University in the Fall. Villanova was my top choice for quite some time. But due to personal reasons, I need to be close to my job to be able to maintain part-time hours while in school. Originally, I had expected to go to school full-time. And Temple offered me to join their part-time day division which suits perfectly with my current situation. As far as tuition goes, I am a PA resident so I'll be paying in-state tuition @ Temple. Actually, I would have been paying te same @ Villanova (with the scholarships).
I am anxious to begin my studies toward attaining a Juris Doctorate. I may also study jointly for an MBA. Alternatively, Temple also offers a Certificate in Business Law which includes MBA classes. I'll do that if I feel like getting the MBA is too instensive (I have no background in business).
My hope is that this profile will help others pursuing law school. It's a tough journey for some with low LSAT scores like myself, but it is possible. I wish you all the very best.
