When did you apply? If it has been more than 8 weeks, why not contact the schools in Cali and let them know your situation. Explain that you're very interested but you have to make a final decision within a few weeks whether or not to move and would like to know if they'll be making a decision on your file by then. If they give you the run-around, then go to Barry. If they seem like they like you and interested in your file, ask if you can visit and maybe solidify their decision. Also, ask for the dean of admissions when you call, or just to make sure you're talking to someone that actually has pull. Best of luck!

I would probably wait on the other schools to get back to you unless you are very satisfied with Barry. I don't know much about the school. You should call the other schools and ask them what position you are on their waiting list--usually they will tell you if you have a good reason to know. Good luck!
