Additional info & updates

GPA started at 2.26 freshman year. I did not write an addendum because I felt the grades explained themselves.
Graduated in 3 1/2 years.

-----------------------------------------------------
3-8 Playing the waiting game. Hanging on to hope for remaining schools.
3-11 Playing the Oh God! I need money game.
3-13 Looks like Im going to have to make some very tough decisions soon... Perhaps sending a few withdrawls. Still haven't decided yet. I wasnt expecting to get into this many schools... if any. Updates, as soon as i make up my mind. :)
3-21 Withdrawal from Temple. I wasnt really planning on going anyhow. Tryin to narrow my decisions. Thinking of Withdrawaling from Denver, and Loyola.
3-26 Withdrawal sent to UNLV, Denver, and Loyola
4-4 Called boston about my app. said my app was still in review. it's been there for a week and a half. I'm hoping they are taking so long as to decide to give me a rediculous amount of money, or an embarassing sum of money. But on a side note, I'm having a fabulous hair day!
4-10 Seat deposit CU
4-13 I think the mail man knows I'm stalking him. Still waiting to hear from BC
5-12 Hofstra called to apologize about the delay, I guess LSAC never sent my records? strange, because they got everywhere else.... who knows. still waiting to hear.
5-15 Called howard, ends up, my college cerification was never sent... even though I asked for a signature over 4 months ago... got it faxed today
5-15 Accepted at Hofstra, was sent to my perm. adress. Not really sure why they would ask for a mailing adress if they are going to send to perm... whatever.
5-20 The Mailman's name is hank... He has a mullet.
6-30 Signed a lease in Boulder today. Was still waiting for the George Mason news, but couldn't wait any longer. CU here I come!
-----------------------------------------------------

Denver - Came in a small, very scary envelope. One page.

UNLV - 3-13 - Came in a large white envelope. Generic Acceptance letter.
3-26 - Put withdrawal in the mail

Indiana - e-mailed
2-23 letter dated 2-18, letter of acceptance, and also offering me $7,000/yr renewable to make up for out of state expenses.
Withdrew, and they said some very kind things and doubled my scholarship. Stuck with my Withdrawal. 4-19

Temple - 3-2 Recieved a letter to perm. address, waitliested. In a small standard envelope. WITHDRAWAL. Hopefully that gives everyone esle some room on the waitlist!!! Good luck!!!!

CU - Came in a large Brown envelope with lots of financial information, and stuff about the law school. Acceptance letter commented on my application specifically. Letter dated 2-25.
CU - 3-36 - Letter dated 3-17, full tuition scholarship over 3 years. Horray!!! Holy cow, this makes the decision EVEN HARDER!!! Small white enveleope.
CU - 6-30 Signed a lease today. Will Definently be attending Aug 22nd.

American - Came in a large priority mail white envelope. Tons of info about the school on the inside. Generic acceptance letter. dated 2-27
American - Withdrawal sent on 4-10

George Mason - Letter dated 2-28 Mentioned my application specifically, do not rank the waitlist, would like a return to be placed on the waitlist. I think it was another 500 word essay that killed me. Came in a small white standard envelope. Bummer.

Loyola NO - 3-12 - Medium sizen envelope, of pretty significant wieght.
3-36- Sent withdrawal

Howard - 3-8 - Recieved an e-mail regarding an open house for accepted students. Very strange, considering this is the first coorespondance I have recieved from them. I guess all aplicants got this e-mail?? Very strange.

Northwestern - 3-21 Emailed about app status. Didn't expect to get in, but its still dissapointing. The letter was something along the lines of;
Dear Jane,
there is no place for you here at NU, haha, try not to kill yourself.
Kisses,
NU.

UCLA - 4-10 letter dated 4-4, Rejected. Standard white envelope. Meanest rejection letter ever.
Dear Jane,
Are you kidding? Let's pretend this never happened. We heard rope is on sale for $6.99 at wal-mart.
Happy Hanging!
UCLA

BC - 4-26 Nicest rejection letter yet! (if thats possible) :) I will not reserve any deep hatred towards them. Plain white envelope.

Hofstra - 5-15 Acceptance, sent to perm. mailing adress. i dont know what it looked like. Included tee shirt.

there's one! by the way, you have the weidest spread of apps i have ever seen. other than colorado you have only one app per state. is it that you really want to go to husl and these other schools are the product of unsolicited fee waivers? hmm. ;) good luck with the apps the cycle.

Denver envelope!

It's horrifying! What a cruel trick to send such good news in a thin envelope! Maybe I will see you there next year! Best of Luck!!

Not the first one!!!

on all of your acceptances so far! I'm truly jealous because you've already heard from two schools that I applied to and I think I sent mine before you! Oh well, I'm happy to see that you made it. Good luck with the rest of your apps!

Howard open house
Thursday, October 20 2005 at 08:00 PM

All applicants recieved the open house e-mail. It has been confirmed by someone else that it is not an acceptance, though I expect you will be recieving one soon ;-)

Strange indeed
Thursday, October 20 2005 at 08:00 PM

Trust you are not the only one who thought this. It is nerve wrecking to receive these e-mails when you are anxiously awaiting a decision. It's like..."you can't send me a complete or decision letter but you can send me some crap I don't need." -Strange and annoying
