did tennessee specifically call what you were in a waitlist?
I don't know if this will help you at all, but I know that you can negotiate with Tulane for $$. All you have to do is submit your competing scholarship offers, and express to them that they are your number one choice. Email financial aid/admissions and tell them that you have received money from equally respectable schools, and you would like to attend, but you need some help...I hope that helps you :) Good Luck!
