Extra Curricular Information

I own a video production company and I specialize in litigation support audio / video.

In 2012, I also began to consult on audio / video technology for litigation support.

I decided to study law for a variety of reasons. My website goes into all the fine details.

Previous Education:

GED - I wanted to earn a GED and a High School Diploma while I was in high school. They sent the GED to the high school - I graduated a year and a half early.

AA Degree - Psychology

BS Degree - Information Studies (think librarian) with a specialty in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) - (think computer science lite with an emphasis on hand coding stuff)

MA Degree - Professional Development.

I sort of got this by accident while waiting to hear back from traditional ABA law schools.

I decided to take the time to grab a graduate certification, but actually had enough time to wrap up the entire Master's Degree in Professional Development with Graduate Certifications in Executive Leadership, Change Management (think mergers and acquisitions - and major system changes) and Conflict Management and Resolution.

The FYLSX is discussed on my website above.

Those of us using distance education for law study must pass this exam.

Only 20% or so pass it each time. The California Bar limits the percentage that can pass it... sometimes the curve works for you - sometimes... not so much.

A buddy of mine passed it in June 2012, but the scale failed him. In October 2012, however, he wrote a failing score - but the scale pushed up his grade, and he passed!

In June 2012, I scaled out to a 441 - it is bad, you need a 560 to pass. I just goofed it all up. For the October exam, I analyzed what I did wrong (everything), applied corrective action and worked very hard to perfect my improved style.

I failed again in October, but my score jumped up 64 points. I can see that I am on the right track, so I must tweak my efforts to correct whatever errors I had been making.

I fully expect to pass in June 2013 - but I am not happy that it took me that long to see what I was doing wrong to correct it...

They say things happen for a reason... maybe it's true, so I'll see what shakes loose when I hit it for the third time in June 2013.

Check my progress on the website listed at the top of this note.

Best wishes for much success, always!
