Dont forget the waitlist from Hastings and Irvine:) You can still apply to USF. I guess I have good softs if the admission committee actually reads my entire profile.
Also, if you really want to attend law school in Cali- look into applying to Cal Western in San Diego. It is a decent school.
Aren't job prospects pretty low once you go below Southwestern?
USF is ranked higher than Southwestern and Cal Western; just got back from visiting the campus, does extremely well in San Diego....plus faculty and staff were very friendly. Southwestern in decent in LA but job prospects are terrible unless you are in Top 50 schools. I'm leaning towards cal western

yea, Decision was rendered on March 8th; got the letter on the 15th. Based on my limited research; they reject you via letter and accept you via status checker:(
I am alittle confused from what you said. Southwestern is decent in LA but prospects are terrible if you are not in Top 50 schools? Southwestern def isn't top 50, so how can it be decent and terrible at the same time? Do you mean decent in Cali but hard to get a job out of state? I'm hoping to practice and live in California after law school, which is why I am hoping to go to law school in Cali. Kind of wish I sent an app to USF, but I can keep that as a transfer I guess after 1L.

Hey OP, there seems to be a general thread running through your profile, other than some LV and AZ here and there, pretty set on Cali huh? I like it, so where are you considering most? I am 99% sure I will pull the trigger on Cal Western, if you are enrolling there I'd love to talk with you more, questions, comments, concerns like mine, etc. Maybe we can even line up a buddy system to calm the fears of 1L and Cal Western success, shoot, I'll set up a study schedule with you right now for the fall and we'll get past the attrition rate together. ^ Hey. I did not apply to Cal Western. I'm waiting to hear from a few Cali schools right now, including some wait lists.
Got rejected from USF, its all good because it dropped huge in the rankings for 2014. Is Cal Western your top choice still? For prestige, I say hold out for Hastings and Irvine. I'm waiting to hear back from Cali schools off the wait list, and waiting sucks lol.
^^^ Sorry to hear that. As much as I would like to go to Hastings or Irvine, I do not know if I can sleep well at night by taking an extra $100k in loans by attending any other school other than Cal Western as that would be the diff because of the scholarship they are offering me. I hope we both get off waitlist at McGeorge. That is the one school I will make the exception as my family currently resides in Sacramento

My jaw dropped looking at this profile. Accepted at San Francisco but rejected at Chapman and a waitlist from Pacific. Maybe I should have applied to San Francisco?
