Additional info & updates

I am attending NYU! I am so excited. I just fell in love with the school. It scares me to think that I almost did not apply to NYU. A few months ago I did not think I had much of a chance at NYU, Columbia, and Georgetown. I was accepted to all of them and yet I almost didn't apply because of my doubts. It just goes to show that a 170+ LSAT score is not necessary to get into the top schools. You can make your application stand out in other ways so do not be afraid to reach for the stars. :)

I was accepted to all ten schools!

The decision dates are the dates the schools made/sent the decision, not the date I received them.

The decision letter from Georgetown had a personal note from the dean.

2/3 I received an invitation to apply for Georgetown's Dean's Scholarship.

2/11 I received a Graduate Fellowship offer from W&M (the day after I received my decision). It offers in-state tuition rates, $4,000 stipend, and other opportunities.

2/14 I received the Dean's Scholarship at Rutgers for $10,000. I also received the Beasley Scholarship at Temple. It provides full tuition the first year and half-tuition the second and third years. Both were enclosed with the decision letters.

2/15 Miami sent me an e-mail which stated that since the dean had released additional scholarship funds I will receive a Dean's Scholarship.

2/16 Telephone message from the Assistant Dean of Admissions as WNEC.

2/17 I called WNEC back. I was admitted and they offered me their full tuition Oliver Wendall Holmes Scholarship.

2/21 Received Miami's Dean's Merit Scholarship for full tuition.

2/24 Miami invited me to apply to their summer institute,

2/27 Received e-mail from Georgetown rejecting me from scholarship program.

3/1 Received Georgetown binder.

3/31 Received Dean's Scholarship for NYU. I will get $20,000 my first two years, and $10,000 my last year.

Thanks! I will post my soft factors above. I am African-American. I don't know where I will go yet. Hopefully visiting the schools will help me decide.

Congratulations

Thanks! Hope to see you there this August as well. As for various trolls on my board, I don't really mind them, I've dealt with people like that my whole life and this is just another opportunity to show them what I can do...;)
