Extra Curricular Information

Went abroad for a semester, which precluded major leadership roles in extracurriculars. Still did a lot of theatre, some film, had a job running a media lab on campus. Worked all summers during undergrad for an architecture firm.

Went to Yale's b-school direct from undergrad on a full, named scholarship for the first year, with the understanding that I would leave after that year to get in some WE before being given the MBA; currently working while applying to law school. Planning on doing JD/MBA, accross universities.

Special info:
Took a clinic at Yale Law during my senior year of undergrad; became a Student Director in that clinic while still an ug. I was the only undergrad SD in Yale's clinics that semester and (possibly) the only undergrad SD in the history of YLS. Didn't help at Yale, but having two of my four recs written by YLS profs (and a third by a YLS adjunct) definitely helped at CLS, NYU, and Boalt (admissions people I spoke to mentioned this specifically).

Hey! I was recently admitted to Columbia, and was wondering if you could offer any insight into how you got your scholarship? Was it merit based? Also, if you don't mind, when did you get the information from them/find out about your award? Thank you!
