12/03/08 - Deferred via email at Duke. The email indicates they will decide after having received fall grades.

12/11/08 - Applying Early Decision (Presidential Scholarship) to George Washington. Also applied to host of other schools over the next three days.

12/20/08 - Accepted by email to George Washington. However, it was not for the Presidential Scholarship and is thus regular decision. Also applied to Penn today.

01/03/08 - Received acceptances from both William & Mary and Washington University (SL). Scholarship offer was included in the William & Mary acceptance. WUSTL offer came later via email.

01/09/08 - Applied to Cornell. It took until late February to go complete.

01/17/08 - Accepted at Georgetown. The status checker went to decision on Monday, received the letter on Thursday and was able to access admitted student site on Friday.

01/21/08 - Applied to NYU and Columbia. Went complete at NYU quickly, did not go complete until mid March for Columbia (mostly my fault as I forgot to include a resume and did not send that in until early February)

01/24/08 - Visited Georgetown during Admitted Students Day and was impressed with the facilities.

01/26/08 - Accepted to UVA. The acceptance was in a small white envelope. Did not receive a notification that the status checker changed.

02/14/08 - Visited UVA and attended a Student Life Panel. Will be unable to attend Admitted Students Day due to prior plans.

02/16/08 - Accepted at NYU. Very surprised at the speed of their response.

02/19/08 - Waitlisted at Penn. Withdrew because of NYU and UVA decisions.

03/11/08 - Waitlisted at Duke. Withdrew.

03/25/08 - Received scholarship decisions from Georgetown and Virginia. Very happy with the offers.

03/27/08 - Withdrew from all schools but NYU, Virginia, Cornell & Columbia. I have nothing but positive things to say about Georgetown. The admissions personnel were friendly and helpful at every step of the process.

04/01/08 - Waitlisted at Columbia. Did not receive a scholarship at NYU which means I will most likely be headed to UVA, barring an acceptance and scholarship offer from Cornell.

04/10/08 - Accepted at Cornell. Happy about being accepted at an Ivy. Still leaning towards UVA but a scholarship could change that decision calculus.

4/22/08 - Withdrew from Cornell and NYU. I'll be attending the University of Virginia this fall. Couldn't have been happier with how things turned out.

5/2/08 - Accepted at UCLA. I had already withdrawn and was a bit confused, but it was nice nonetheless.
