One of my best freinds (also a politically active progressive who's spent a lot of time outside the US) goes to CUNY right now, and she really loves it. She's told me she really can't believe how many amazing internship and summer job opportunities they have. She's also mentioned that the facilities are a little lame, but I don't think it's presented any sort of an obstacle to her education. Just sharing..

I have also been out of school for 6 years. CUNY and Northeastern have always been at the top of my list. I will be sending my seat dep. next week.
The Director of Admissions called me to offer a spot in the Part Time program. He told me that the Full Time program is full and they don't expect to go to the wait list.
I'm very excited about the offer to USF part-time. I REALLY want to move to San Francisco. I'm 99% sure I'll accept, will decide this weekend.
Congrats on USF. They have had my application since January and still tell me that it is "under review" ... CUNY awarded me a fellowship that requires that I withdraw my applications from other schools, so I guess I will never know.... : )
hi, i am an activist and applied to CUNY and Golden Gate as well. I have not visited golden gate but they are on academic probation with the ABA because they have a low bar passage rate (its on their site). CUNY is a great school. The building is a converted JR. High and it still feels like one. The more info i get from them ,the more excited i am to go there. CUNY has an awsome clinic program and small sections for a lawyering seminar that you are with for your first year. I have a few friends who go there and based on their friends and others i have met who go to CUNY doing various non-profit work, it seems like an amazing, progressive community. They even have free child care. Sorry for the long-winded comment.
