I am trying to decide for now between S. Texas and Texas Tech. I live in Houston, so that has some sway with my decision for South TX. If I get into UH, I am definitely going there. I will visit Tech in a couple of weeks. Not so sure about living in Lubbock. Any advice?

I loved it when i visited, but it's kind of a small town (~200,000 people), especially if you're used to Houston. It depends really on what type of city you like. If you're a big city person, go with Houston. If you like the smaller town, friendlier people vibe, Lubbock definitely has that. The people are also very laid back and there is no traffic and the city design makes it extremely easy to find your way around, so I liked it. good luck with your decision! :)
