Additional info & updates

I have a weird GPA situation. My first 2 years I was an athlete right out of H.S. and my GPA was 1.99. I left school for 3 years to pursue professional career in my sport. Grew up a lot and decided to go back to school (different school) where I graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. I only took lsat once b/c was trying to finish undergrad as fast as possible.

Really happy about Stetson admit and scholarship. Most likely going to work in FL no matter where I go to school.

Temple was a big surprise, especially scholarship, I only applied b/c they sent me a fee waiver. Now I have to seriously consider 3 years in Philly.

Minn is a school I never really thought about until they sent me a fee waiver and a bunch of law school info. I am really surprised I haven't already been dinged by them. Guess the long review is a good sign with my #'s.

L&C is a similar situation as Minn, only applied b/c of fee waiver and all the recruiting. Not bummed by rejection but a little surprised only b/c of all the effort they put into getting me to apply.

Quinnipiac is another fee waiver turned safety school. They would most likely have bump me up to full ride to get me to go, which I don't believe they will do. I guess I'll wait and see if they add on, which I have heard schools sometime do right before deposit deadlines.

Keeping fingers crossed with FSU and UF. One plus for me at FSU is that they use your Degree GPA if it is higher then LSDAS GPA for admission purposes.

U. Miami has me in a Hold category. (not WL)

As of 2/16/11 I am basically waiting on the rest of FL schools and Minn.

Scholarships are per year and all renewable.

A couple of people have spoken to admissions office and were told that they use the higher of the 2 GPAs for admission purposes. Also you will notice that on your application through LSAC it will automatically post your higher GPA.

FSU HOLD

Got a hold by FSU on 2/25. Considering this to be good news. Better than a rejection so I will continue to keep my fingers crossed.
