12/16- Waitlisted at TTU. Letter a week later explaining to send a letter stating "Why Texas Tech."

01/28- Accepted into STCL via email.

01/31- Denied at Georgia State via email and status checker. Decision rendered at Tulane, but no email so probably denied (maybe waitlist). Waitlisted at Ole Miss via snail mail.

02/03- Deny letter from Tulane. Big let down, but surprisingly a more heartfelt generic letter. Emailed my transcript from study abroad to schools as the transcript office burned down in Stellenbosch, so it'll be quite a while until LSAC receives it. Tech accepted it, and LSU did not. Lovely. Rather tired of being complete at Baylor for two months now, and tired of being in review at LSU and UH for a few weeks.

02/17- Accepted via status checker to Cumberland (Samford). Packet in the mail.

02/21- Decision rendered, check email on LSU status checker. No email.

02/22- Waitlisted at LSU. Email said mid-May. Due to the the date, I plan to withdraw. Big let down. Emailed Baylor about a lack of movement since 11/29. Reply was quick: nothing wrong with my app and it is before the committee. Received Samford's letter today; included scholarship information. I am being considered for a $15,000 to $30,000 scholarship and my interview is in March. Yes, I am going. That makes up entirely for being waitlisted at LSU!

03/01- Review date has now changed three times at U of H. Obviously, I am not actually in review (or it would be nice if they told me I'm on hold?).

03/04- Waitlisted at Houston via status checker...

03/09- In at Mercer via status checker.

03/21- Denied at UGA via status checker.

03/24- Going to Houston for Admitted Students Reception, then Birmingham for Scholarship Interview with Samford 03/28.

03/29- Waitlisted at Baylor.

03/31- Have received the Dean's Merit Scholarship from STCL (9,200 a year) and the Merit Scholarship (75,000 total or 75% tuition) from Cumberland. Choosing is going to be very difficult.

04/08- Accepted off the waitlist at Texas Tech

04/11- Email with scholarship info from Tech: 1,000 which gives me in-state tuition.

Generic. No scholarship info (although they said to contact the office of financial aid about it). It was just the email, so maybe a formal letter will have more information.

Amen to your comment on Baylor... It's strange, but I find that the longer I wait for a school that I assume will accept me, the less I want to attend.

I'm with you on Baylor. I heard back for the summer start quarter 10 days before they wanted my deposit, but so far not a peep about regular fall start. It's pretty frustrating!

They emailed me with a notification of acceptance. Their status checker said that a letter was in the mail.
